Its been discussed on here before. Its a good idea poorly executed. The pulling rod is just going to act like a giant spring absorbing most of your energy. Air hammer blows aren't strong, its the successive build up that makes them work so well hence the failure in this tool design where its mitigating that build up. Its no different than putting a 2 foot extension on an impact wrench.

I agree, to a point. The spring factor is an issue, but I would compare it to my 36" blue point 1/2" to 3/8" extension. It puts out a lot of torque with out loading up too bad, as it is a hard steel. This feels like it is made of a similar metal. My issue pulling bearings today with it, is keeping the bounce out of it in terms of the hook wanting to bounce around on the bearing as I hammered on it.

Where it will work perfectly, and the whole idea of my buying it, is threading it directly into bearings or pulleys with threaded holes that are designed for a slide hammer. That direct connection will transfer force a lot more effectively than a 90 degree hook.

I'll definitely post back in a month or two. If it saves pulling a shaft or two a year, it paid for itself. I defiantly have higher hopes than that for it though.

Got these two Armstrong ratchets new in the packages, the 11-994 flex head on eBay for 62 dollars and the 11-992 from toolfetch.com for 40 something including shipping. Both I think were drop shipped from Apex.

These are from handtoolsforless.com. Napa USA 3/8ths spinner handle, 20mm Napa professional USA combination wrench, and SAE and metric USA made nutdrivers. I'm giving the nutdrivers to the little guy to have when he gets older.

Decided to check out a garage sale down the road today, don't think I did too bad for $36. Craftsman USA stuff including a couple old round head ratchets, set of Husky long pattern wrenches, Proto locking pliers, and a Rigid 18" pipe wrench.

It's a poor pic, but I picked up the "Texas twister" from snap on. My guy had it for $250 CAD, significantly less than Matco carries it around here. I think that Snap on just started to carry it, hence the decent price.

It is definitely going to have a place in my box. Using it has a learning curve, it's weird to approach work I've done for years with a tool that pulls like a slide hammer. Worked well today pulling a couple bearings off of a combine fan shaft. I'm gonna look for a good slide hammer set to compliment this set, as there is an adapter to thread into slide hammer attachments.

Yeah like others mentioned, please keep us posted. I was going to pull the trigger last year but didn't until I read some reviews. So far most of them have been negative.

I was at Home Hardware to grab a few bolts and found these Canada 150 Picquic's at 10$ each (reg. 17$), got both that were left. One will live in the truck and the other in the house. Made in Canada goodness.

Love these guys, especially with the COO. I've already got a Multique at work (smaller handle, same bits) and need to get a Teeny Turner for computer screws at work (small handle, with precision head sizes)

I broke a 3/8" rachet like those 10+ years ago out of my dad's set. Took it to sears and got a pos as a replacement. Should of kept it and found a rebuild kit instead.

Nice Cornwell ratchets, I have a few and the 30 tooth are lovely to use.

Thank you, this filled in gaps in my ratchet lineup (I didn't have any 1/2 flex heads or a long 1/4) and I am a big fan of Cornwell rats. They do not get as much love as other brands, but they are built like tanks and are very smooth.

Just picked up this long handle Cornwell ratchet from the pawn shop. Got a good deal on it because it was skipping teeth. Opened it up cleaned and lubed works great now.

Just scored a good deal on a virtually brand new Mikwaukee M12 screwdriver with (2) batteries at our only decent local pawn shop. Check out the receipt...... $30 out the door! 99c11c8f9aa7a9dfa74a84ec23482e61.jpg

Needed to rent one for my sisters car, figured I'd buy it since I hate renting/borrowing things. 20 dollars shipped to my door from amazon, 8milelake, quality seems fine. I'll probably only use the thing a handful of times so if it "works" then its worth it.

Thanks to the advise from the members of this forum, I picked up an Estwing drilling hammer! While I was at Home Depot, added a nice leather handle axe! [emoji631][emoji1303]

I got one from Ebay for about £17, used it 3 times so far in 3 months, I probably won't use it again for about 5 years but really good to use and did the job far better than other methods. Like you say quality seems OK for occasional home use which is all mine will get.

Nice grab! Is that 3/8?
Thanks, it's ½" drive, pretty smooth action considering the low tooth count. Getting the pawl back in after cleaning was a trying experience but I got it eventually lol. I saw your flex heads, they look nice. To keep this on topic just picked these up, look never/lightly used. First Black and Decker tool for me and Made in Germany which was the reason for purchasing.

Went to Canadian Tire after work to exchange my 19mm Gearwrench I broke while mounting my vise the other day. While there, all the Channellock stuff is 40% off, so I had to buy something. The 426 will probably end up coming to the office with me.

Picked up these two sets of socket adapters for my new drill/impact set the other day at Princess Auto, figured I couldn't go wrong as I think both sets cost me 10$ together:

If I wouldn't have "hidden" these guys so good I likely wouldn't have broken my 19mm wrench the other day. Sitting at the workbench just now and I look up at the pegboard and there are both packages. Hah.

These xframes came in the other day, metric and SAE. Been eyeballing them since they were released. Had a 0* Gearwrench set stolen that needed replaced desperately. Really like them so far, smooth action and they sure are puurrty! Had a chance to break them out tonight, replacing some pulleys and belts on the mower. Also got some wrench racks, just waiting on the SO man to drop off more goodies before reorganizing :)
