Powertop finally showed up, this time not damaged [emoji106]

Brown santa dropped off some Westling socket organizers for my axle nut sockets and torx etc. Still have to get a few more. Then yesterday some truck BOGO deals got me along with some more organizers lol. He only had one wrench rack, the others will be here Monday.

And last but not least on the misc stuff a set of DBE shorties from 8-19mm.

IMG_1775.jpg
I bought a set of those a while back. Really nice, but my only complaint is that the 12mm x 13mm is stamped from the same wrench as the 14mm x 15mm, so the ring is THICK on both ends. I needed the 13mm for doing valve adjustments on Briggs Vanguard engines, and the Toptul wrench was too fat to fit. Ended up selling the set and buying the single SK to do them, and even that is a tight fit.

Toptul makes a L socket that would be perfect for that application. I'll look up the part number tomorrow and post it. I've been considering one of these sets for a while and if there's a chance I can get Dennis to bring in a set, I'm going for it.

Awww, I was bored so here ya go. Also falcom makes a set and I think gendore does as well. But I got a feeling toptul prices would be a lot more palatable.

Many Facom wrenches and sockets are from Rotar (Toptul) so the socket wrenches are probably nearly identical. That said the Facom ones still not terribly expensive and can be purchased from Steve (also a member here). The toptul set is probably 2/3 the price but Dennis would probably have to buy a bunch of sets and may decline.

The Facom set is made in the czech republic I believe. So it wouldn't be the same OEM as Toptul.

New to me, Grizzly Industrial dust collector. 1HP, made in 1991. All it needed was to have the power switch cleaned out. Now to get some replacement hose and hook up my whole shop dust collection setup!

Thanks. I'm pretty sure Briggs sells the single L-socket specifically for this application, but the short offset wrench does just fine for how rarely I do them. It just popped in my head to take a picture last week after seeing the discussion on here.

I had been searching for a specific wrench that matched series/date range to fill a missing spot in my set. Finally got one after looking for several months on eBay and it arrived yesterday. I'm pretty happy.

i had some "spare" cash in my pocket, the wife wanted to go to HD to look for a new light fixture for the upstairs hallway...

i wandered through the tool section...

picked up a bernz-o-matic butane torch, a can of butane, and a 20" milwaukee jobsite organizer.

i'm gonna move some of my lesser used electrical supplies into the organizer, and store the little torch in it for my service truck. ( thats my plan for right now, but who knows:dunno:)

i ran outta room, and have electrical repair "stuff" scattered around in the truck. it'll be easier to grab just one box and have all the oddball stuff together.

So, I haven't posted any new tool arrivals since July, although there have been a few.

Here's one that showed up a couple weeks ago, from Acme Tools.

Wohooo! A box, I wonder what's in it? :bounce:

Aha!! ANOTHER box.

Okay, so what is in the yellow box?

hmmm, seems kinda small for such a big box.... :headscrat

WHAT?? All that for a 9' tape measure?? :eyecrazy:

Nahh, there was a bit more in that yellow box.

DeWalt 20vMax XR 4.5" Cordless Grinder.

First pic is with a compact 2.0ah battery, second pic is with the 5.0ah battery that came free with the bare tool on a promotion.

Got an email from Sears that I had $19 in FREECASH on a tool purchase, so I figured I might as well put it to use!

Scored a Snap-On ball joint C-Frame for $5 at a yard sale last weekend.
Would like to pick up a few general adapters for it. Anyone know if other brand adapters will work?5e00a1d104c5ede3a34eb57c113eaf48.jpg
