I been waiting to get back to Dads place to get pics of a couple of old vises there. I'll be taking over the collection before Christmas and have a lot to photograph and document but here are some teaser pics.
A Reed 104 and an English (?) blacksmiths leg vice. How the Reed came to be in the Hunter Valley I do not know but the leg vise was "acquired" by my Dad on Mums instruction when they were dating in the '50s, It was sitting in a tumbled down shed on a farm near where she grew up and Mum encouraged Dad to make it his
Any info on the Reed would be appreciated.
I've included some shots of his shed to give an idea of the 50+ years of accumulation I have to sort through
