Here is my 3 day old garage... so many ideas and so little money!

Today... I bought a broom for it :)

I've put this in other threads, but here's mine. Been in 3 months, and am starting to realize I MAY need more space...:shocking:

Hey 340, do you like the Craftsman Storage cabinets? Are you having trouble with the latches. At the local Sears store, all the latches are messed up and the doors won't shut, just wondering if its just the abuse of kids in the store or something that is an issue.

Looks great.

Here is my little 19 x 23. I still need a racedeck floor, now if everyone donates one tile too me..oh well was worth a try:lol:

Just getting to the point where I want to redo my 2 car attached. Looking for clever and efficient uses of space.

Here's Mine, recently completed. Small (18' x 20') attached 2 car garage in new suburban development, east Ottawa, Canada. Low budget build - motorcycle themed for my 3 bikes. Started and finished within 4 months of moving in. All work by myself & my wife. Many Kijiji finds - cabinets & counter tops, sink with faucet, ceiling fan, wall primer, and even an ArmourClad epoxy floor kit at significantly less $ than retail. Many freecycle finds - all melamine and 1/4 round, undercabinet light, all hardware, some (but not all) of the slotwall, tire shelving materials, all electrical wiring.

I did a little work today. I'm not a big pegboard fan but ran across a 4x8 sheet for a price I couldn't turn down.

I got the welding cart cleaned up a lot. Not sure if it makes sense for that stuff to be by my vise by the man door, but that's where it is for now.

I put a small chunk right by the garage entry into the house. Level, squares, cordless drill/driver all fit on there pretty well. That cleaned out a lot of my top tray of my big Home Depot tool chest. I can't imagine the pegboard being all that strong long term? Time will tell

My wife just bought the XTerra a couple weeks ago. I find it funny that I had three silver cars. She just added another. :D

Thats about what mine looks like right now. Moved in a month ago but have been busy fixing up the old place to rent out. Can't wait to get started on the garage and basement workshop. Honey-do list first though

I always like seeing the smaller garages more that the big builds. people are definitely more crafty when they have less room

All these great, beautiful, clean 2 car garages. I'm here to represent the guys who have too much stuff, not enough time, and not enough money...

A pic from a few years ago... when it was "clean" :bounce:

20130627_124110.jpg

And then I filled it back up... and I had stuff piled everywhere because I was in the middle of putting in new shelves.

20160402_223742.jpg

And a more recent pic from a couple weeks ago... finishing the benches in the middle, then I can start putting up plywood paneling on the walls and ceiling. And still getting rid of ****.

Installed two 24" Air King fans two weeks ago. They move a lot of air.

Finally took a pic without a car in the way :)

Question with those who are running "race decks" or similar flooring. How does it hold up to extended periods with jack stands and jacks themselves? Does it mark up the flooring and damage the tiles? Does it "feel" safe having your car sit on jack stands on plastic tiles?

Thanks!
