Got started on the paint prep. Wipe it down with acetone, sand with 200, then 400 grit paper. 3 parts down, 5 to go. Then sand one more time on each part, wipe down again, then prepare to paint.

The plastic parts will require either paint or conditioner, AFTER I paint the body parts.

It snowed 3 inches last night to signal that I definitely should fill that gas tank for the snow blower and have it ready for this morning.

Replaced the seat on my Ol' John Deere 165.

This is an old- new to me- seat that a friend gave me. What a difference, nice low back support and more comfortable.

Got home yesterday after driving 5 hours across the state... Noticed tree sap on the windshield (and body) while driving so I washed my truck before the weather turned cold today. Thankfully it just fell on it the day or so before so warm water with the soap & a microfiber rag got it off with ease. Considering waxing it today while it's clean... I can just turn the heater on in the garage.

.....cleaning out clothes out of drawers to make room for winter wear means a lot of old clothes like fleece sweat pants from my wife...what to do with them when they are too shot to send to the resale shop?
Cut them up for "RAGS!"
So, my bench is full, my knife is out and I am cutting up some nice fleece rags!
Great for wiping up grease and oil, cleaning the engine bay, or wiping up a bench spill.

If you want to really get creative, here is ...15-ways-to-recycle-and-reuse-old-t-shirts.

I filled mine last weekend. Came back later to find a nice puddle on the floor due to a cracked fuel line. Drained, replaced lines, and refilled.

Made a bracket to hold the new battery tender on the rider. I'll install it today, but won't do it in the garage. Instead I'll trek out to the shed with all the necessary and do it there.

Cussed and sworn about my wife. She left the steel tether for the dog in the driveway and only she finds it impossible to actually go outside with the dog and so the brand new ariens we got last month found it and twisted the left rake so badly I had to cut half of it off...

Primed the torque converter with a couple quarts of Maxlife Synthetic. Stinky! Also bolted on the bell housing, connected and adjusted the Neutral Safety switch, and connected and laid out the breathers and sensor connections/harness.

Installed a couple of the Northern Tool 1500W ceiling heaters. Cord is to short and the bracket is kind of flimsy but luckily I had installed a couple of electrical outlets higher then standard workbench height.

All I did was Plasti dip this cable bracket, replacing the original flexible coating that had gotten flaky with age and fell off with disassembly.

Spent the rest of the evening running errands.

I've been wanting to try this stuff for years. I like it.

The bike is coming along nicely Jim. Looking forward to it's completion.
Thanks Mike. I hope to have it complete by the end of February.

Love the question mark design - you going to do it in a different color? :D

Funny, it was totally accidental that it came out that way.

The paint will be Starfire Black Metallic.

Open garage door.
Start snow blower.
Clear driveway.
Put snow blower away and shut garage door.
Watch it snow multiple more inches of snow.

Repeat above process. :eyecrazy:

I worked on insulating my Craigslist garage door. I installed three overhead doors, each of them sourced from Craigslist.
One 10x10 is not insulated; I bought some styrofoam block from another CL listing and now only need to make it fit.
So I cobbled together a hot-wire cutter and slices&diced!

lol, nice on the hot wire build. I insulated my garage door with foam panels but just used a utility knife. I started googling how to make one of those but figured but the time I got it built and everything it would counter all the time I could have been just cutting and putting panels up...

Today since I pulled a bunch of scrap OSB out of my garage to take to a friend's, I vacuumed up a ton of sawdust and had to move a couple benches back in place that I had OSB stored behind. Still trying to re-organize everything since adding some more shelves and such in the garage.

Measured depth for some shelves I need to make for a gun-cabinet I'm converting for a friend. Was planning on sanding and re-staining today but that didn't happen... maybe this weekend...

I need to buy one or maybe two of those wall mounted tire storage racks. The one I favour is from Canadian Tire. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/motomaster-wall-mount-tire-rack-375-lbs-0090078p.html#srp
I did check Craigslist and I found two of this model for sale at $50 from two different sellers. I text that I want to buy, and now I wait and wait. It has been almost three hours.
I always to respond promptly, maybe this is too much to expect of others?

Moved into the house almost two years ago, still getting things together...

Ran copper pipe between my shop in the basement, the air compressor in the utility room and the garage. Now I can play with air in the garage. I've already hung a Goodyear hose reel in the garage.

Still working on organizing the shop, but that's a different thread. :)

Had a flat tire on our Rav4, went to change it in the driveway and one of the lug nuts was cross-threaded. Fired up the wood stove and brought the Rav in. Had to snap off the stud to get the wheel off, put the new stud in, put the spare on. Good to go. Also adjusted the tension on the parking brake lever, vacuumed the car, and touched up an old exhaust repair.

Need to get the rubber boot for my M18 impact wrench.
