Well, I can't seem to post pics from my phone. But my Williams 1/2 set got delivered. Not bad for a "vintage" set.and my 2 tekton 3/8 ratchets came in too. When they say stubby they mean it

My Amazon order arrived. Nothing special but a few things I needed. The pick and scraper set is complete chinasium garbage. About as sharp as a broom handle but they were on only a few bucks as a warehouse deal.

I just got the same pair from Amazon, but used reward points ($49.99)

What did it run you on eBay?

$58.23 with free shipping

I see they’re cheaper than that on amazon now though. For some reason I didn’t find them cheaper on amazon when I ordered - bummer. I’m still pleased with them!

I picked up this EZ-Red 1000 lumen rechargeable work light (XFL1000) a few weeks ago and this Duralast 3/8" ratchet (73-868) yesterday.

I like the ratchet so far, though I haven't used it for tight spaces yet. For $20, it seems to fill my desire to have a 3/8" head 1/4" body ratchet, anyways.

I am a little less thrilled with the work light. I can't put my finger on why, exactly. I recently bought the Harbor Freight Braun slim light ($20) and the pair of AA powered CAT lights from Costco ($20) and this EZ-Red light ($48) just doesn't seem to have the same "bang for your buck" as the other two.

The ez red is cool for being able to focus, guy at work has one, lights up trailer interiors pretty well, but after having the hf one I wont spend more on a light

i wonder how that duralast compares to the SK 3/8" in a 1/4" body... i have one (more to the point... i swapped the guts from a 3/8" thumbwheel and a 1/4" ratchet) and i like it for what it is

also i forgot my lisle hood prop was coming in... i'd post a pic but my phone is in the other room and i'm lazy

I've had these Wiss scissors for about a month now. Absolutely fantastic. I think the toughest thing I've cut with them so far is paper faced metal corner beads and absolutely no issues or any damage to the blade that I can tell. The blades are titanium coated and the metal runs through the entire handle. They're currently sold out on Amazon, but I got mine at Lowes for a few bucks more.

Also just got these Mayhew hose clamp pliers. Should come in handy for an upcoming job on my 911. Not a lot of real estate to work in the back.

Also, got these for about $25 shipped. Prefect for bleeding brakes on my car and my gf's car.

And lastly, this Dewalt corded 4" grinder. A relative borrowed my Bosch grinder and lost it. I used that thing for about 4 years while working at a shipyard and it had never failed me. It had button on the side that would lock in place. Not a fan of this style switch. I've since gotten a M.E. degree and spend more time working at a desk, so this won't be getting nearly as much use.

How are the handles on those Wiss scissors? A few reviews said they are uncomfortable with bigger hands. Thanks.
Matt,

Last year a nice pair of new Wiss scissors materialized at work. After realizing just how amazing they are I went out to HD to buy me a garage pair. I ended up springing for for the W10TM 10" shop shears (as pictured) and actually ended up taking them back because they were so uncomfortable to use (I have large hands).

I instead bought 2 pairs of the 8 1/2" home and craft scissors and put one in my box and gave one to my wife. They are much more comfortable IMO.

Wrapping Christmas presents was so much more tolerable with nice scissors, let alone our own pairs!

Good advice, Chris. I wear an XL in mechanic's gloves, etc. I have a nice pair of Fiskars scissors but they are getting older and I'm not sure how well they will sharpen up (they have some coating on them). I'll check out the 8 1/2" scissors from Wiss.

They are definitely not the most comfortable. It's not the shape or the material; it's that the hand/finger/thumb loops are small. If you wear an XL sized glove, you will definitely have ergonomic issues. (I wear a large and my fingers just fit in the loops)

Got a Metabo 4.5" anniversary grinder. Didn't have a huge need for it, but I'll find uses for it. Couldn't resist that green and gold

Last week I put into service a Milwaukee 25' magnetic tape measure:

In spite of its gimmicky appearance, I was so impressed with it that I went back to HD for the 16' version, and picked up its compact brother too:

Stupidly complex instructions just to take it out of the packaging. You need tools to unpack your tools now:

I also got a Fiskars splitting axe, clearance priced at $10.03:

Hella deal on that axe.

How much did those set you back? I like the micro style ratchets.

They were about $14 each. Only used them a bit so far but very nice to use.

Also got a full SAE and metric stubby wrench set, and there double ended box ratchet wrenches. Very impressed.

ETA: all from Ebay, about $200 for the wrenches.

ETA: 2, started a few months ago looking for reasonably priced torque wrenches. Up until now I’ve had mostly Cman stuff, with a bit of Stanly, HFT mixed in. After reading the reviews I went with 1 Tekton torque wrench in each size. Very happy with them and to find decent tools to fill in for Cman.

Been wanting to pick one up to trim my 80lb lab's nails. Borrowed a friend's and the lack of a cord made this task so much better.
