and mount my 10" Logan lathe across them.
It's already mounted on about a .375 thick steel plate, could just straddle it across the 2 of them. Maybe a few bolts on each side.
It's mounted on some (IMO) half-A$$ shop made stand, with this "X" brace across it. It's not super rigid either. And the "X" brace makes it somewhat of a pain to place stuff on the shelf's. Would look nicer too.

Off Topic, But I did the wiper motor, powered by a 12 Volt power supply, and controlled with A $10.00 PWM board from ebay, with speed control, and reverse switch. Ran with a V belt drive. Made a shaft to extend the leadscrew, and a shaft to extend the wiper motor shaft.
