You can use Lowe's gift cards online, but it's a bit risky. If anything goes wrong with your order that ends up needing a refund, they won't put the money back on your gift cards automatically, you have to call and beg for the funds to be restored (which may only happen by them mailing you a replacement card with the same problem as described below). Easier to use them in-person, for things you know are in stock and can't get cancelled on you.

And if you end up needing to return something, returning in person should get the refund done correctly. But even then, according to https://slickdeals.net/f/10569756-l...with-gift-card-to-in-store-merchandise-credit , it won't actually go back on the original gift cards - they'll give you a replacement gift card (actually "merchandise credit" card) which can only be used in-store. Apparently Home Depot does the same thing now too, BTW.

if it is done in store, they have the ability to put it to merch credit or gift card, all depends on what card they grab. I had a goofed situation, and I was bummed when the girl told her to put it on a merch card, not gift. I wanted to use it online so I could use coupons.

Might try to ask nicely when tbeg are putting it in a merch card to do a gift, so you can order online, especially if that's how you orderd

I quickly learned how to create barcodes so I could use the coupon in store, and use the merch credit still.

Good to know. What site/settings did you use to generate the barcodes? (Edit: Yikes, never mind! :shocking: )

Please be aware that people have been arrested for printing bar codes for generated coupon codes. When the bar code is printed, it becomes coupon fraud, a serious offense.
Seriously, why are people being allowed to talk about fraud here?!!! Shoot, people have been banned for much less!!!

May as well stop using the price checker altogether as well if you enjoy the use of Lowes.com.

See terms and conditions.

Engage in spamming, flooding, phishing or other activity intended to gather information unlawfully

Transmit any software or other materials that contain any harmful or malicious code, including without limitation viruses, worms, time bombs, date bombs, trojan horses and defects

Modify, adapt, sublicense, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any portion of the Site

Remove any copyright, trademark or other notices of proprietary rights contained on the Site

"Frame" or "mirror" any part of the Site without Lowe's prior written authorization

Use any robot, spider, site search / retrieval application or other manual or automatic device or process to retrieve, index, data mine or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure, or presentation of the Site or its contents

Harvest or collect information about Site visitors

Take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on Lowe's infrastructure

I was banned from lowes error 237 for "using too many coupons" along with the line of using a robot to get items at an incorrect price. So they do keep tabs on these things.

So I stopped at DG today. Discount wasn't active. It must have been over yesterday or it just wasn't active in my AO

20 gallon Kobalt Compressor (old model) was marked down 179.99 from 199.99. Used a $20 off $100 for $159 plus tax.

Was at Lowe's today... Saw they were putting out all the Craftsman stuff...

The socket sets were made in Taiwan & China...

The rolling toolboxes were just meh... The metal seemed kind of thin and didn't roll at nice as I would have thought. They were soft close though. But honestly, I think the Husky stuff at HD seemed a little nicer... and for the price you could get the nice Milwaukee that is bigger and built better...

Also they put the stuff near the entrance over where the Lawn & Garden / Light Bulbs were, just in the racetrack there... I didn't see anything over in the actual tools area...

What is that huge wrench on top of the display made of that appears to be hanging on a hook? Cardboard? Plastic?

Thanks for posting the timer and irrigation kit. They will come in handy for a raised bed.

I’m pretty sure it’s part of the picture on the display ...

I could be wrong, but it looks to me like it's just printed on the banner, with realistic shadows.

Perhaps, but the hook up top appears to extend beyond the top of the banner which made me think it was a separate piece.

FYI, after sitting on hold for 18 minutes to call customer service to not cancel an order, the lady said you really don't have to call for those orders that email saying "you must call...", she said they don't cancel orders unless the person calls to cancel it.

Funny, they cancelled one of my orders for not calling. Then I found out you can just reply to the email. In any case, they have it set up the exact OPPOSITE as it should. "Call if you want to cancel, otherwise there may be a small delay" would save labor & a ton of consumers time, which they don't seem to value.

Yeah it makes no sense... Half my orders with delay emails say TO call, other's say there is NO need to call (unless I want to cancel)...

Good to know about reply to email, would have saved me a long wait on the phone...

What's funny is I keep getting the email saying 'I must call' for a cheap (less than $1) solenoid. But for more expensive things those emails say no need to call... *rolleyes*

I'm really getting lazy with their free shipping... Every time I go to lowes it's so frustrating to try and find anything or to get help, so I just order online and wait a couple days. Totally stress free...

FedEx just came today, I said, "You're not the usual guy?" He said, "oh you must mean ground, I'm express." and I realized he was...

Lowe's sent me a .50 cent solenoid (one out of 2 I ordered BTW), 2-day express because it's been delayed a couple times... *rolleyes* Yeah, that's not losing money... lol

Give credit where credit is due. Seems to me if they had sent your sol. ground they would loose money. Someone recognized your order had been delayed, not knowing if it was a emerg. item they tried to give the best cust. service possible. Sometime you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you.:rolleyes2

I feel Lowes is soon going be in the same boat as Sears. Home Depot is heavily present, almost everywhere,

I don't even know how fruitful it will be when Craftsman products are readily stocked on their shelves

I picked up 2 and the customer service guy said they were a "non-stock item". They didn't appear when I checked the price on the website. I wouldn't make a special trip to look for them being a non-stock. That being said, if I saw 2 hanging on the rack, there must be others sitting around in some of the other stores.

When I lived in Houston, most of the times Lowe's & HD would be built right across the street from each other. But on average there were also more Lowe's than HD's...

When I moved up to NWA, there are two (2) Home Depot's and five (5) Lowe's within the same area...

Their overall store count is pretty close from a quick google search, and I'm sure it really varies by region. But I don't see Lowe's going anywhere any time soon, nor HD either...

You mean this?

I do always look at the Kreg section as sometimes you can find things on clearance, but it's not often, and usually only a couple bucks off...

That is the model number but it says 3.5 inch on the title... I wonder why he couldn't bring anything up when he scanned the barcode?
