Start checking out the in stock Quincy compressors.
Was told by employee that they need the room for craftsman stuff.
Just recently bought the 60 gallon for $461.
Might not be the best deal but is lower than the kobalt and other husky brands.
Needed one after my 15 year old 26 gallon craftsman died.

Now that Craftsman tool chests, carts and cabinets have arrived in stores, it looks like Lowe's may be clearing out of its Kobalt-branded stuff.

Here are some examples from my local store in Alexandria, Virginia:
Item # 875247 - 45" 3000 Series chest - was $399.00, is now $279.30
Item # 875248 - 45" 3000 Series cart - was $449.10, is now $349.30
Item # 875249 - 41" 3000 Series chest - was $224.10, is now $199.20
Item # 864095 - 41" Pro 9-drawer workstation - was $749.00, is now $674.10 (Note: This particular workstation was identified as an in/out item.)

All of the above items were in stock around here as of this evening.

Yeah, the 1000, 2000, and 3000 series Kobalt chests might be going away to make room for newer ones or just total replacement by Craftsman ones. These are mostly marked to be on the listed clearance price until October 16, 2018. All of these are width x depth x height in inches for reference.

A lot of the tool boxes are made in the USA. A lot of the tool chests in the 1000 and 2000 series are listed as assembled in the USA. The 3000 series and stainless ones are Chinese.

Found one of the $46 in stock at SW Dallas Lowe’s...sent to my buddy in FTW who passed, clearly he doesn’t have the same affliction. So maybe someone in DFW can grab it. I got one locally at $92 and I think it was a great buy at that price.

Cape Coral store had a few about two weeks ago for $125, but it might be gone now. I bought a few in central florida area, but too far for me to go there. It was showing there when I checked a couple weeks ago.

I ended up with 3 of the four drawer tool boxes. Dont see any near Toledo. Probably good thing, would have to rearrange the garage.

Grabbed the one for $46. Website said 0, on a whim the Lowes guy checked their internal inventory, which said 1 Held, 1 in Stock. He didn't know if that meant there was only one and it was being held, but he searched a few isles, found it at the very top, and told me he'd sell it to me anyway. :deathmeta:

Then I realized how big it was, and I had to jet home to get my minivan to fit it inside (the SUV wasn't big enough :lol:). All in all, a good night. Thank you!

My buddy ordered the $46 one online to pick it up today at the SW Dallas location, but he received an automated phone call from Lowes this morning saying they were out of stock and they cancelled his order. :(

Go the store, look for clearance tags, write down the skus of items you are interested in and check the prices periodically on the Lowes website.

That's all? Nothing on the website? I know they post clearance items online, but the deepest discounts don't show up with any kind of flags online.
