2018 Lowe's deals/sales/clearance thread

This one isn't near me. I had to travel 40 minutes out to it (store pickup for another item)

They had a TON of stuff on clearance. So much so that I'm going back next paycheck.


Didn't come with keys and the top box is locked. Anyone know where to get replacement keys or do I just drill the lock.

Keycode on the lock is 908 and 810.

Probably, I think it's worth a shot for the price. Maybe put a looking for, for a spare key. I just checked and mine are 801 and 901 so I'm out.

I bought a display model Kobalt truck toolbox last year that they couldn't find the keys for and the store was able to order a new set of keys for me at no charge.

According to the FAQ section

Keys are available by calling the Kobalt customer Service Team @ 888- 3KOBALT or the manufacturer @ (866) 305-4414 at either location just call them and know your lock number (Three digit code on the bezel of the lock)

I'll call them Monday, if that doesn't work I'll buy the ebay keys

Man, I was going to go to my store this morning for some of those lights, till I started reading the reviews, then I did a search for the model # and realized Lowe's has the wrong image. The one on clearance is their "Narrow" model, which won't match my existing lights...

Lowe’s has there Metalux fixtures marked way down. Every store around me is sold out. But, Menards has plenty and a price match guarantee. I bought all they had, 20 to be exact. The cashier supervisor tried everything to stop me. She called the on duty manager. That manager told her to give it to me but she actually argued with him. She then went above him and called the general manager at home. He told her the same thing. It’s like she made it her personal mission to see me fail. I feel so dang victorious.

I could not believe there stands a fridge I bought online in Jan with my name on it and a pickup tag that says pick up Feb 1 2018. I tried to pick it up back then and they told me it was never there to pickup.. well now I bought 2 of then for almost the price of the one I had ordered. Crazy it sat there for 8+ months .

Like I have said before: Take a walk through your local stores because you will find deals throughout the store and every store has different close out deals and they won’t ship some of them.
Deals don’t find you!...... You have to find deals!

Yeah I've peeked in the back warehouse area of the store, at least at my store it was a total disaster area, no wonder half the time they can't find anything.

They've had an appliance sale going on online, with many things up to 40%+ off... But in-store there are always more deals too that are store-specific with special-order items or returns and such...

I’m not sure if this belongs here or the Menards thread but it originates with Lowe’s.

I also called Home Depot on a couple of fixtures and they were going to honor the price too but Menards is just closer to my house.

I also bought a 3 16 packs of 48” T8 LED bulbs at $17.23 per box. These weren’t listed on the website at all. My local store had one box but I wanted more. I asked them to look at nearby stores’ stock level. They told me a store about an hour away had 7 boxes. I bought two more boxes there.

Online is just as bad. They e mailed me about a delay that I have got the stuff. One store told me yesterday they were pulling more on Monday.

They have them by appliance area some. Maybe the carton got damaged.

I showed them the Lowe’s web page. It never mentions the word “clearance”. Just “save 69% through 10/17/2018”.

As long as you have the code from the lock itself most locksmiths can make a key and here they just charge a regular key cutting fee.

One store told me yesterday they were pulling more on Monday.

I heard the same thing yesterday when I picked up my online orders.

There was a bunch of stuff right in the front, appliance type stuff. I was eyeballing The Troy Built Generator that was still $800 plus for my neighbor when the fella from Lawn and Garden asked if he could help. He checked the price for me and it was correct. We got to talking about when I was there a couple weeks ago and the display (along with the Generac display) was like $380, and was gone the next morning after I spoke with my neighbor about it. The fella from Lawn and Garden then took me by the hand and showed me the center isle was 3/4 full from one the end to almost the lumber section. For no particular reason, I snagged two of the Bostich air hoses that were $6.24 and then went back to $24+ had come back to $6.24. I bought the last of the wall hung,fold up work benches for $60, I'm thinking it might work as a folding table in my kids laundry room (we shall see).

Online I had ordered two of the Marshalltown pry bars and the $80 steel basement jack post for about $16 each.

My store had the B552 sitting on clearance rows, but no price drop yet

It's actually sold in 500 ft rolls, so the price drops to 8 cent a foot.

Called the number, its the company that manufactures the tool chest. They asked for a keycode and took my address. I should expect keys in two days. Free and absolutely no hassle. That was good customer service.

My plan to hit the good stores on the way home from work didn't work out. Hit the crappy local store. Not alot new but while the associate at the electrical desk was helping me I noticed he had a printout of new markdowns about 5 pages long on the desk. When see saw me looking at it he quickly removed it from view.

I swear they have a racket going between the employees when new stuff is marked down. Last week there were about 4-5 of the Hitachi Sanders piled on a shelf with no price tag, still rang up full price though, gone the next day. Same with the Hitachi compressors.

I picked up this Bosch laser level/ laser measure last weekend at Lowes for half off. I'm not overly impressed with it but it will be nice to add to the tool collection.
