Hi-yo Donder, Blitzen and Secret Santa!
The haul included a large selection of Duro-Indestro, inclding a set populated mostly by wartime Duros. A large selection of wrenches is heavy on Williams, but with a good dose of Long-C Craftsman. The Williams bunch included an ignition set and an apparently brand new 15/16 1/2" drive 8 point socket, one I had searched for several years ago and given up on.
The star of the show is a beautifully shined-up ball peen hammer, monogrammed with my screen name!!
It is a stellar garage sale haul without leaving the house.
Thanks, SS, you hit it out of the park!

Don’t forget the birdhouse and Montana stuff! Hope you enjoyed it! Merry Christmas!

Well I am a night owl and was still up at 2 AM so I opened my GJSS gift box. It was from PECVD2 and was a home run!

The first thing I see when I open the box is a set of Barcalo Buffalo combo wrenches, most with cool raised lettering!

Then I pull the 1st layer out and in the second layer of foam I instantly a mint Craftsman Crown label body working dolly! The sticker is on the work surface so obviously it never has been used! Crown logo Craftsman is my favorite thing to collect! It will go well with my mint Craftsman body hammer!

I spied some more stuff, an OTC 915 steering wheel puller I have been looking for to complete my OTC puller board and a vintage K-D harmonic balancer puller. Score!

Finally there was a pair of patches from an Air Force laser beam test Don was a part of several years ago. It instantly reminded me when I was a Crewchief for some B-52 weapons testing, we launched a new standoff weapons system against a target in a southwest USA desert at buildings built just for that purpose. The aim point was a window on one of the windows, the video and pictures showed it hitting only a couple of feet from the window! And the weapon had a dummy head so no explosion, it went through the wall so fast there was just a hole the diameter of the weapon and 4 lines where the fins went through!

Thanks Don for the wonderful gifts, you obviously took the time to see what I liked.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you, your family, the other GJSS Santa's and the main GJSS Santa that tries to wrangle the rest of us into doing what we promised too and keep everything straight!

Thank you, Mr Roboto! I received a four pack of ratchet straps (I always seem to need more of those!), a Little Milwaukee tape measure (ditto), a tire pressure gauge, and a ingenious carpenter's pencil lanyard that will save me hours trying to find the ones I misplace in the middle of a project. He also included several Billings & Spencer s-shaped DOE wrenches with pre-SAE era markings, making them 1930s or earlier! One of the other wrenches appears to be a Ford style wrench for automotive fasteners.

The gift package included a nice note informing me that his dad works at a Chevy dealership parts department near me and can hook me up! That's cool!!98c1fdf03a51ce18649d999f3749fff7.jpg

Finally, thanks to GJSS and the elves who organized this year's exchange. Every year, its described as more work than anticipated, but we're all glad you all do it. Merry Christmas!

Got my secret Santa wife opened box then hid from me due to a couple items not being wrapped. Plus she knew if it didn't come she could stay inside where it was warm not having to check the mail box got some multi bit screw driver that could come in handy , key chain from what must be a Volvo semi truck bottle opener, a deck of poker cards and a proto 5249 that is super smooth. I never seen in person these types of proto ratchets.. Thanks secret Santa!!.

I am just off work so late nighter.IMG_20181225_012016.jpgIMG_20181225_012157.jpeg

Merry Christmas to all!!!

A huge thank you this year to my SS noid.

I finally opened the large box I received a few weeks ago. Noid sent me a 4’ LED shop light. It is perfect. The tiny light I have above my workbench doesn’t really cut it. I am super excited to get this out of the box and set up. I was cursing the other day when I dropped a small spring off my workbench and had to get a flashlight out to find it. Noid you must have had a premonition.

A big thank you as well to GJSS and all his helpers for putting in all the work to make this a success. It truly is a highlight for me every year to participate in this event.

Rory Bellows struck it out of the park on this one, the “Fat Girl Mix” is getting used right now. ;)

I will be learning to grind some HSS soon! The transfer punch set will be great for all my projects. I have used some before, but never had a full set. And the machinery’s handbook is always a great thing to have hanging around.

Thanks again!

Thank you and Merry Christmas to my SS. It was drop shipped so I don't have any clues who/where this year. I love Knipex and have always wanted to get one of these mini kits. It's perfect.

I've participated in GJ SS for a few years now. And every year I've been happy with what I have received. But not this year. This year I am ecstatic about what I received. Every item received (and it was way more than expected) was something I will use. Thank you 4 FN 27!!! And rest assured, I will cherish and treat that SK set as if it were my own Dad's! Merry Christmas!

Wow, big thanks to my SS! You did a great job in sending a variety of awesome things that will be very useful. Long 1/2" drive flex head ratchet (which I didn't have), super bright Coast LED headlamp, Gerber pocket knife, spare 10mm socket and wrench (we know what always happens to the 10mm), and a mix of beef jerky/slim jims, and Reese's. Thank you, I'll be using these things very soon.

So I'm still waiting for the rest of the family to get up... (once the kids grow up, they want to sleep in more than open presents... :spit: ) :dunno:

At Least SWMBO got up, but then she jumped in the shower...

Thanks {unknown} SS! Nifty air nozzle, I've never seen one like that (my dad, of course, had)! The Klein cutters will work great; I'll have to find some nut drivers or bit sets to stock up that VIM organizer.

A big thanks to my mystery secret santa. First off, I love the Craftsman wrapping paper. Second, the 1/4" wright socket set is awesome. I can't wait to put it to use in the garage.

Finally thanks to everyone at GJSS to make this happen every year.

Woah!

Got a set of insulated laser tip wera screw drivers, kroil (which I've heard much about but never tried), quality RTV, sealant, protective gloves and some nice vintage reading material.

I don't currently have an insulated or laser tipped driver set, so this is perfect! The kroil, RTV and sealant will surely come in handy while working on my cars and the reading material seems like a lot of fun.

Thanks SS.

I'm not sure who my Secret Santa was as they did not include a note. I suspect they work at a Subaru dealership though! :)

My SS sent me a Dasco pry bar set, which is great. He also sent a set of Lenox screw drivers, which are big in size and have a great feel to them. He knew I loved peanut brittle and set a container full that me and the kids have already started to enjoy. Also included was a bottle of Spiedie marinade, which will be put to use over the weekend. To finish it off, some Subaru swag and some Post-It notes which my son took.
