I might be the only person in the world who wants 3/8" drive flip sockets. Pairs nicely with the Milwaukee 3/8" stubby impact. Took my wheels off no problem, and saves my 19mm deep socket from getting beat to hell.

I have had an unhealthy interest in varied sizes of flip sockets for a while. Plus, I grew up thinking 3/8" drive was perfectly normal for car lugs anyway.

And I was using my M18 impact driver at a salvage yard today:;I have always been a hand tools guy, but am expanding my use of impact stuff.

So yeah, thanks for costing me money.

This arrived from Germany much faster than expected. My new 41.75" Bahco 147, aka Snap On PWZ5, pipe wrench. Made in Argentina.

I have no idea what I'll use it for, but I like being prepared! I can imagine wedging this onto something to prevent it from turning while I work, or something like that. It's pretty massive, weighs about 18 pounds (8kg).

All my Bahco 0-4 are made in Spain. The price difference between the SO and Bahchoa if I didn't get a killer amazon wherehouse deal I'd have gone SO because the rubber handles are much more comfortable.

This was definitely one of those deals.

I'm not sure there is any difference with this size though between the Snap On and Bahco. The Snap On site only shows one option for the PWZ5, and it has the same painted handle as the Bahco according to the picture. Only the other sizes appear to come with rubber handles and in multiple colors.

Had to make a parts run and decided to stop by sears to spend some points.

Thought I’d give the Hansen socket tray a shot. I already have the harbor freight trays, and I feel like they are cumbersome.

Really diggin the Hansen. It’s a bit more compact, evident by the impression mark left by the harbor freight in the liner.

Every inch counts when it comes to organizing! Haha

Edit: forgot to mention after buying some razor blades to bring the total pre tax over $15, I used my points and a $5 off coupon. Paid $1.49!

If you need to squeeze more space of out an existing box as you add your aresenal, it's worth looking at VIM mag rails. They're pricy, but hands down my favorite socket rails (for a box/cart) and very space efficient.

Yep! I wouldn't buy the 8" kit though. ToolTopia has the best prices from what I've found so far. I use the VIM site to get the part number and buy through ToolTopia.

I made the last SO payment on my epiq today. I've had the box for about 5 months and still smile every time I walk into my garage and see it sitting there. Celebrated with a few tools purchases, naturally.

Blue Point (Ideal) strip masters. A very awesome, consistent stripper. This one has a good range of wire gauges.

If you're wondering why...it's to use sockets on ratcheting drivers.



Security torx screw drivers. I hated my cheapo hex bits. To do just about anything other than oil changes or spark plugs on a 911 requires removing the intake box. The MAF is screwed in using security torx screws, so it gets a good amount of use.



SAE Hex T handle set. I use my torx and metric t handles like crazy love having them easily accessible in my hutch. I cringe everytime I need an SAE hex bit because I keep the SAE set in the blow molded case and I have to go dig them out and use an absurdly small hex on a 3/8" drive ratchet. Very pleased to finally have these.

Needed a new oil filter wrench and Zoro was the cheapest with coupon but of course I had to put in a filler item or two to get it to the eligible amount so I grabbed another bronze alloy hammer from Council Tool.

Really neat tool. Came in REAL handy with my Valve covers on the GTO last week. The handle / spinner can be set in a few positions.

My new SK metric SuperKromes. I’ve got a complete set of Armstrong SAE wrenches and have been using a cobbled together set of metrics forever. Finally decided to get me a nicer set.

I have the long pattern SK Metric. No complaints so far.
