To me it looks like the 8mm and 9mm are longer than the 10mm? Or is it just the camera angle?

Just dont let brake fluid get into the ratcheting end. It seems to kill them. Took two 10mm wrenches to die before i figured out what was going on. But they were all so nice to use on bleeders in tight spots.

A few eBay purchases:

37b73cb36783705d5c98c8aa38e92558.jpg

Bahco 5 and 6 piece file sets. Really like these and glad I went with them over piecing together NOS Nicholson. Handles are comfortable, clean easily, and the finish is great.

Also the Mayhew punch set.

Put these to work along with the Gedore snap-ring pliers last weekend rebuilding the front CV on my Subaru. Excellent tool choices!

I have these and love them but I just wish they were a bit longer. All of SK wrenches seem to be length challenged.

Was it flash rusting the pawls or something? Sounds odd. It looks like you can open them up with a snap ring plier. I'd be curious.

Promo bundle came with "free" deep swivel impact sockets and the batteries are the new 2.5ah ones. How could I say no!?

I always thought SO's cordless tools were manufactured in Taiwan. Nice to know they are at least assembled here.

Also got the Steins for "free".

This also came in the mail. I've been looking for a bright, compact headlamp, and this hit all the check boxes. If you look a youtube review on this, it's a nice design. My favorite thing is probably the the magnetic charger. Hate how every light/accessory seems to be micro-USB these days.

Yep, goofed off in the garage with all the lights off to play around with it. lol

If you're interested, I shared the ebay seller on my twitter that accepted my offer of $55 for it. Most places are selling it for around $67.

Bought a Fencing Pliers add to my Prairie Dog hunting gear.

Thought I would give Milwaukee a try. Took it out of the package and noticed a big burr.

Figured it would be hardened so I lightly brushed it with a File. Came right off with no effort. I'll have to see it holds up to mending fences this summer should we hit one.

Vertical band saw installed and running. Will be cutting steel and aluminum. So far, so good. Happy with the new capabilities. I’m also happy with the minimal space sucked out of the shop.

I was waiting to see signs of things other then photography being done on the top of that snap on box. Now I have proof! Might have to get another mat for the top that you only use for photography, as yours is starting to look a bit nasty!!

Not to fret, I got the work bench utility mat last week. Now I can better protect the protector protecting the work top. :lol_hitti:

I am so confused why everyone is so excited about those SK wrenches. No offset, non reversing, 6 point only??? I can't think of any reason I would ever want to buy a flat wrench, they are useless in 2/3 of the situations I use wrenches. On top of that, ever backed yourself into a corner with a non reversing wrench? How hard would it be to make those in a flex head? Are the designers blind, do they have focus groups, do they think that people want ****** knuckles?

I have been thinking of getting a set. Angled and reverse are important features. To my eye, the 6 point takes up too much room around the fasteners. I’d like to see the measurements on that kind of clearance.

One on each hand?...

I hate HF gloves... they are a size smaller than listed and not as flexible as name brand :bounce:

I have to ask: How do the gloves smell?

Agreed. Plus the grooves for schmoo to gather. I must be missing something.

The SK are made in the USA by a family company and are hopefully very good quality. The design isn’t what I would like but otherwise, I would have a set. I like the idea that Tekton is coming on and now starting some USA production. They too have a 6 point design which while it sounds good, “looks” more bulky. I don’t know if this is true for sure.

If a family owned business made trucks in the US, with a rear bed that is round, with 1” of ground clearance, but it had a beautifully shiny paint job, I still wouldn’t buy it.

Picked up this Eastwood tig 200 digital today, along with the cart. I have zero experience with tig, but im very excited to get working with this. I've been using a miller 130 mig for years, but when this went on sale I decided to grab it so I can make my cold side for my twin turbo 5.4 cobra I'm building.

While I was there I also grabbed a digital tire gauge/filler that was on sale, and this torque wrench which was on sale for $20. Honestly I saw the piece of paper with the actual torque numbers inside a case sitting there and figured, for $20 how can you go wrong? Made in China, unfortunately. But I needed to have one around the shop and for now, this will do.
