Toptul 3/8 dr. Ratchet. £27 eBay.
Super-impressed with it. Main reason for purchase was I wanted a short-ish 3/8. OAL is 180mm. Uses SODH ratchet mechanism like Koken. Very smooth, quiet and strong.

Re: Small craftsman mini metal lathe need help identifying

I purchased this from an old buddy I have no idea what it is except for its a craftsman. I'm looking for a model number any place to get some tooling any info you can share would be greatly appreciated

I can tell you that the machine is a lathe. Other than that I can’t help you. You might try a site called vintagemachinery.org for more information including manuals, parts, etc.

Went to a local work gear store and ended up running across a screaming deal on 2 pairs of boots I didn't need :spit:

They were both in clearance due to the size I wear doesn't move. Ended up getting a pair of Thorogood Tobacco and Wolverine Moc Toes. Both were half off so walked out stealing em. Other picture will need to be resized to post

I have been wanting a new Fluke meter, and I decided on the 233. It seems to do everything I want, and having the detachable wireless display seems SO handy! I can't wait to start using it. I know it has some bad reviews for being hard on batteries. But to have that detachable display will make it worth it I'm sure.

There have been many times where I am trying to diagnose something under the hood from inside the car, and I have to try to balance my meter in such a way that I can see it from the driver seat. Now I'll be able to take the display inside with me! And a half-dozen other scenarios that I can think of, lol. I'm pretty stoked...

Dwm, how do you like the grey pneumatic socket set? I have been thinking about getting one for a while. Kind of expensive to buy online but it looks like a solid set of sockets

Beautiful. I don't use mine often, but every time I do, I hold and just look at this tool for a few seconds and admire its quality and feel.

Used it a few times till now, and you are right the feel and quality are excellent. A bit expensive but was worth it, I think.

I got it on ebay. I had a $40 ebay coupon burning a hole in my pocket, and that's what I applied it toward.

Gearwrench 6 point metric sockets in standard, mid and deep lengths for both 1/4" and 3/8" drive. Only have the short and deep on the trays while waiting for the new 3 row trays to arrive.

I was looking for new sockets with tighter clearances and external knurling to replace my old Craftsman which weren't bad, just a tad sloppy in sizing. I also wanted something that was a complete set which was hard to find in Koken. Hazet was looking like the only option, but the cost was so high I couldn't justify it. Found the short and deep sets at a great price since Advance Auto still showed some Gearwrench in stock on sale and had a 25% coupon. I realized they made mid lengths and I thought those would be a nice additions so I ordered those on Amazon.

The sockets are pretty nice. The fit of the ratchet end and bolt ends both seem to be tighter than the Craftsman's on various nuts and bolts and ratchets I attached them too. The chrome is nice and finish is good even around the knurling. Stampings are deeper than the Cman were too. I had to drill the 11mm deep and 6mm short 1/4" sockets because the holes were too small to go over the pins on the trays. Looking in the sockets it appeared they were drilled with the wrong size as there was too much sacrificial material left where the bolt would pass through. All others fit without issue and looked drilled properly inside. I'm not sure about the shallow broach as all my sockets are full broach currently. I'll keep the old ones around for now in case the short broach creates problems.

Grabbed this 2-7" adjustable hole cutter for work. There are times we have to cut up to 10 holes for conduit/pipe etc so I'm going to give this to my top rocker and see if he likes it to get more

I also gathered these items over the last few months. Again, wanting to upgrade from pretty good Cman ratchets that I was happy with except for the switching lever issue as they wear. Trying out several things to see what I like the best.

In 3/8" there is the old Cman, Tekton 90T short and normal, Snap-on FR80 and Nepros standard length 90T in ion blue.
KjrCJ7W.jpg

In 1/2" I picked up the Nepros standard length 90T and the Snap-on SR80 and SRL80.

Picked up the pressure washer from Costco on sale. Love it so far. The snips were the last set of USA made Wiss on the shelf at the local Ace Hardware. Picked up the snowblower and the jack stands at a garage sale last weekend. Snagged both for $380. Electric start and only a year old (and barely used). Wifey saw that on Facebook marketplace prior to the garage sale. Both the pressure washer and the snowblower are four stroke.
