Available for shipping again...

LOL, I don't know why I'm buying one, but I just did... Thanks!

When I lived in Houston my father has one, and we used it a lot around the property... It's like you can fight with trying to use something smaller, or you can just bust it out and get it done.

Will update if it gets shipped / cancelled...

Got shipping confirmation on one of my orders. Supposed to be here in two days so coming from a close warehouse.

The other order I'm shipping to my BIL in Neb. Haven't heard about that one yet...

I bought two of these back in the winter when they first hit this price point. I knew I had a deck coming up that I had to replace the PT deck surface on, so I jumped. They worked OK for prying the boards up from the joists to expose the heads of the spiral nails of the boards. After I slammed the deck board back down to the floor joists, I had to put a piece of 5/4 decking under the pivot point of the bar or the heads of the nails would pop off. Putting the piece of wood under the bar changed the angle enough that it would pull the nails out of the wood and not pop the heads off leaving them to be pulled with Vise grips and a crow bar (no fun). i also found the bars to have had quite a bit of flex in the bottom part the unit when under pressure.

For $17.00 they are a solid buy BUT for $60.00+ I would look elsewhere.

In te Youtube video for that Burke bar posted above, the guy in the video says it is intended to be a little springy in the curved metal portion. I suppose it all depends on the situation big that's a problem or not.

I got a shipping confirmation today. Not sure of it was for the order placed yesterday or today., But will cancel the other. Thanks for the op

According to Lowes site they are shipping mine but cancelled my BIL's.

When I checked earlier it still said $16 on the site but when added to cart it would go to $64.

I didn't even notice that was a link. Nice write up. I'm not sure I would have chose that tool to strip that little form but he had to show it's use somewhere.

I really like the little Estwing Blue Bar for stuff like that. Anyone that doesn't have one of these in "the box", should get one (only for display purposes, not an endorsement to purchase here):

https://www.lowes.com/pd/estwing-18-in-steel-wrecking-bar/1000385243?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-tol-_-google-_-lia-_-217-_-hammersprybarsandcoldchisels-_-1000385243-_-0&kpid&store_code=1953&k_clickID=go_1736136440_68693552300_338438036353_pla-445990402468_c_9005096&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIoYv9qYe-4gIVi4CfCh3WrwJDEAQYAiABEgKIIPD_BwE

So I don't get spanked.....

While most of the True Temper/Truper deals have disappeared, these rakes are still out there for a few more days:

Just a heads up, if you don't see this inside with all the ant killer, check out in the garden area, possibly by the checkout area... That's where I found some last year when it was discounted (and the last boxes).

My bar says it's "on its way"... Have a tracking number but hasn't been picked up yet. Shipping from the usual Jacksonville store near Little Rock, so if the ETA doesn't lie it should be here tomorrow...

I'm just wondering if they are going to box it up or merely slap a sticker on it... hehe...

I ordered one right after it was posted and it still says processing---experience says I'm not getting it. I just ordered again and will cancel whichever doesn't ship first.

I've never seen one of the deals posted in this thread on lowes.com.

Deals are location specific, you must enter th store location of where the deal is located but if your not local you have to look for stores with shipping, always post location of any deal you find

How about going to your local store, finding deals, and then posting them here?

Here's an example:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/product/1000235667

I just noticed that this hammer went on clearance to $7.99 at my local store. It does not show that price on the website. It looks like there are loads of these hammers out there. Since Lowes is largely (or totally?) getting rid of Irwin branded stuff, there are lots of deals to be had.

He is absolutely right. Used to be Lowes online and in store price were always the same. Not anymore. Their online and in store price varies.
Example above. that hammer shows 19.99 at every store on Lowes.com.
When I check the SKU with Brickseek, I can find the actual in store price which varies between 11.99 and 13.99 in my area.

Mine are $19.99 with the exception of the one store that has some stock. On Lowe's it shows $19.99 with the orange "CLEARANCE" tag. On Brickseek it shows that store price as $13.99...

I've come to learn that any item on lowes.com with the orange "CLEARANCE" label is going to be a different price in-store. I haven't check to see if the in-store price is the same as brickseek, but either way they aren't full price.

It seems now my Lowe's stores are pretty much always leaving "clearance carts" in various areas, whereas a year or two ago there was pretty much just a couple clearance shelves in the store. There seems to be a lot more inventory change out going on since the JCPenny CEO took over...

In my experience the "clearance" tag on the website does not always show when it is in fact a clearance item at that store. For example, the hammer linked above shows $19.98 on the website for my store with no clearance tag shown - even though in-store (and BS) show it as $7.99.

Lookup the tracking number on Fedex.com and it will show you the origin city... Items don't ship from the store you order from, they ship from stores (typically) closer to where you live, but can be fulfilled by a number of other stores.

Didn’t know that, thanks for the info.

I’ve had other orders cancelled before because the “store was out of stock” so I wasn’t aware other stores could fulfill online orders

Nothing worth writing home about in our Waterloo, Iowa store, but...

Thought if you're a lurker there and not a contributor (yeah I know you guys locally are on here too and i have seen you in public) I'll throw you a bone.

Poulan backpack leaf blower showing 0 stock o line but 1 display in store for 90 bucks. Normally 180+. Go make 75 bucks and you're welcome... just remember to contribute once in a while and that's all we ask.

Other stores fulfill "shipping" orders. However, if you place an online order for "store pickup" than only the store you are picking up from will fulfill it... and if they can't find it then it gets cancelled...

However, if it's a low-stock item, there is still a chance it might be there, just in the wrong spot (or the clerk was really lazy and glanced over it)...

Online orders for shipping can still get cancelled too (as I'm sure you've read) which usually happens for very-low stock items or when they see a surge in orders for a particular item as a deeply discounted price...

UPDATE - My bar is supposed to be delivered today... lol.

Every order I have placed has come from a store that is more local to me, never the store that I actually ordered from

Just had items cancelled as out of stock when I got the message I was in the store looking right at a stack of them. These were items that were advertised in the flyer and I can count about 70 items on display.

Just came earlier, and it was boxed!

When I took it out the bar was smaller than what I was expecting, I guess I should have looked at the specs better, this is the "Jr" model, at only 46" & 7 lbs...

The regular ones are 56" and weigh over twice as much...

Definitely would not have paid full price for it (especially the Jr)... But for $17 it's as cheap as a much smaller pry bar @ full price, so no real complaints.

These are at the Tigard OR store, possibly others.

Although it seems we are prohibited from owning them.

My label maker was delivered! Works great and will use it to label hardware bins and toolbox drawers.

Here's a deal...Went to labelcity.com to purchase additional label cartridges and found rebate form to receive free Dymo label maker kit with purchase of 10 label cartridges. Placed my order and just received my 10 cartridges. Then I sent in rebate form and I'll update when I get my second (and free) label maker.

Finally got a deal from my store (Montgomery, AL). Starter set for my 13 year old. I picked up one of the three on the shelf.

I received my burke bar yesterday also. A big thanks to cheapsk8_flip for posting! This is going to be very helpful in rebuilding my deck this summer.
