Finally got to try out my new toys tonight.

Foam cannon is a game changer. Having used it I just wish I had gotten a new pressure washer and foam cannon years ago. Paint work on the GF's Cruze might have been in better shape than what it is now. I just tried it out tonight using Meguiars soap I had on hand and I am blown away with how easy it was to get the crime off compared to only using the wash mitt.

Got them from Amazon Monday night and was going to try them yesterday but MIL's boyfriend invited me out boating, hard to pass up that kind of offer.

One of my favorite implements is my drag, 8’ x 8’. Weight is around 300 pounds but when it digs in it is quite heavy


Grading to the garage
Flat ground the B16 (b12 with 16hp) has pulled it OK but turning was never ideal because the front and was a little bit light



I added 75 lbs to the front, 24” out and it still floats the front end but I unbalanced machine a bit. It couldn’t handle going uphill

She can dig! Sunk to the frame in 2nd quick!


I had to retrieve with a bigger allis

Bought this truck about a month ago for a work vehicle. Tore it apart had a local body shop put in a new core support, and paint a new fender for it. Got the truck back home yesterday, planning on hanging the fenders back on it and starting the reassembly

It's a wonderful <90 degree day today with a somewhat cool breeze.

Spent my day working from home... in the garage instead of in the house.

Last night, I worked on getting the kids' RC trucks running again since the move. Let them play with them during lunch. Both of them broke within 10 minutes :/

Spent the rest of lunch hour fooling with them to discover that somehow the radios on both got screwed up and what messed up on the trucks weren't the kids' fault. They're both running again as well as my old nitro truggy. Looking forward to work being over today so we can run them around the yard together.

Used the 5 drawer cart to move it from the bed of the truck to the 72" bottom chest.

I greased my new Wilton, and cleaned it with Fluid Film. I am not going to restore it. Most likely I will just get a deep 2” metal freeze plug and some new jaws and use it like it is. Hell, I may even put off getting new jaws for a while.

As for other garage stuff. Mobility is improving, but not quite there so I'm still not crawling around on hands and knees. Did do some tidying up. I really need to finish tightening down the deck on my utility trailer and prepare to haul old rotting wood away. Not being able to get on my knees is frustrating!!

Yesterday, like the good GJ enabler I am, I bought my wife a staple gun for her crafts. Actually, I lost a bet and owed her $20...she told me to buy her the staple gun (which I would have done anyways since tools are my domain, not hers).

One of this weekend's tasks is a shadow box in memory of our recently departed Boston Terrier, Rocky. I have his collar, great pictures, pawprints - just need to be creative. Not to worry, folks....in September I'll be posting pictures of "Olive" in the "show us your garage dog" post

Thank you. Wife talked me into green as I was leaning orange. After debating in the store a little while I realized their shade of orange wasn't quite right and ordered green. So happy I did after getting them home.

I finished a template for drilling an exhaust stud out. It's made out of wood but hopefully it's a one time thing.
I replaced the right exhaust manifold on my Ford 4.6L in my Explorer two years ago due to an exhaust leak. A very common problem unfortunately. Two studs broke - I was able to extract the lower stud on the front cylinder but I could not get the upper one out. I ended up putting the new exhaust manifold on with just 7 studs holding it. It did last two years so really not that bad.
I have a new manifold - I'd like to get that last broken stud out but it's tight in there against the strut tower. No drill will fit - so I'm down to making a template and using a mini bit holder. And figuring out a way to spin the bit with a right angle bit driver.
If it all fails, then I'll put the new manifold on and enjoy two more years of silence.

Very nice, the older GT's are indeed brutes. I have a few older tractors - one of which I retrofitted a JD plow to the front to plow snow but I rarely get a chance to use it here in Southern MD. I just noticed I have a large fan exactly like yours.

Painted the burner manifold on the new (>95 YO ) camp stove with 1200 deg Black semi gloss, and reassembled once dry (doesn't take long in the hot sun!)

and I'm half way done with painting its box and cover with gloss 500 deg engine paint (finger crossed there but I wanted gloss and no one makes gloss > 500 deg that I could find...)

I'll flip it and the cover over tomorrow and Go again...

Dropped my 3,- thrift shop vise grip Saturday and the release handle broke. Made a new one this evening.





A bit of drilling, bending and lathe work.
Peening went well too. All works as it should.

Last week I bought a LISTA 6 drawer cabinet. Yesterday, I spent a few hours organizing my metal shorts into drawers. For drawer dividers I used AKRO MILLS parts trays. I tried to seperate the differend metals. Brass, copper and plastics. share a space. Today, I want to make a support system to control the storage of lengths of round stock, bar stock and drill-rod. I have some DOM that needs to stand on end. Picture later.
