I got a great gift! My SS, whom I’m not sure who it is (if it was on the parcel I completely missed it and I do apologize) really got me some great gifts. I got a pen sized LED flashlight that rocks! I also received a micro bit socket set and ratchet. I could have used it last night playing Santa’s helper putting things together. Thanks again!!!

I know who my GJSS is but not his screen name. Thanks for the package. A nice LED lite, some local brew, a cool shirt, a Shovelhead era HD tank emblem and some really nice Wiha screwdrivers.

Thanks and Happy Holidays.a321f6ef24e3a50388756a4e58b47e00.jpg

We finally got the family here to open presents (I felt like I was 5 years old again as it was killing me waiting ) and I want to throw out a big thank you to “Stonesfan68” for the welding goodies!

You are correct you can never have enough clamps! My son has already claimed the gloves for himself as he is working a project for his mom.

Thank you for the great gifts. I hope you have a great Christmas and even better New Year!

thanks DSLTRK!!
You're welcome Jeff. I knew you really liked that Klein lock and you collect American Padlocks so I (painfully) let it go. Lol

I hope you enjoy the other railroad lock and those high security cam locks as well. I dig the powder coated American locks.

As for me, I got some cool bottle openers/knickknacks from trade shows and some older tools along with a Craftsman light. I never can have enough lights as I seem to lose them!

Thanks to my mystery Santa!

It was me, I forgot the note but I didn’t want to reveal it. You said you had the basics covered so I tried for some more unique stuff. Figured between the pass through sockets, damaged nut sockets, low profile ratchet with the one set there’d by something you didn’t have. The vise grips I just threw in at the last minute, I was actually trying to get a plier set but the order got messed up and delayed and I’m still trying to get it straightened out, I thought they were kinda cool since you don’t see them with a leverage adding bar like that so I ended up grabbing some for my dad and brother in law too. The note explained the pliers mess but would have revealed the rest of contents and you could have backtracked to your hint post.

I couldn’t help much in the way of woodworking stuff since all I really have is what came with my Shopsmith and it’s been sufficient for what I’ve needed so it’s not like I’ve tried a lot of other stuff to get a good feel on anything.

Thanks! I'm excited to put all of it to good use and it's very thought out. I was reminded of a few instances when the leverage bar would have been handy! Thanks again. It was a great gift.

Merry Christmas and many thanks to GJSS and everyone else for their efforts in making this a great tradition. I received a great box of goodies from my secret Santa named John. First off I’m typing this and stuffing these wonderful cookies in my mouth at the same time that John included. These little squares with the coconut are awesome!! I got a really neat tachometer set which is way cool, a bronze hammer with a real nice grip handle, a super nice pair of the best vice grips ever made, and a pellet pistol. My niece and I shot the hell out of every can we could find with that pellet gun. Funny thing was she got tons of expensive gifts from our family but she kept wanting to go outside and shoot the pellet gun.
Thank you John for the wonderful items, especially the baked goods.

Merry Christmas, all!

A very big thank you to my GJSS, Kaervak for his tremendous gift. He obviously did his research and completely nailed it. I got a sweet CRKT GUNGHO (Tanto bladed folder, nice size, well made, good design, I really like it), a Wera Kompact Kraftform set, a Wera bottle opener, a really cool flexible penlight set, and some Malley chocolate, which is apparently only found in the Cleveland area. Perfect.

He also sent a nice note, which explained the local Malley's chocolate connection

Thank you very kindly, Kaervak. Your thoughtfulness and generosity are much appreciated, wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a happy and successful New Year.

Mr. Roboto -- Wishing you a Merry Christmas. :) Thank you for the Dewalt bit & drill bit sets. They were much needed to replace worn out sets. I've put them to use already today. Also, the digital tire gauge will really come in handy as the older pen style gauges are getting harder to read. LOL

Thanks again.

Chris

You are very welcome! Merry Christmas :)

There was no note with mine, so I’m not sure who it’s from, but I received a 3.5” bench vise, a t-shirt, a book, and some magnets from around the country. Thank you!

We did Christmas yesterday and drove most of the day today. I feel terrible that I can't thank my SS by name because I left behind the package and the nice note that accompanied the gift. Anyway thank you, I love the snapon tape measure. I'm always looking for the auto-locking style like this, and I really like the two release buttons. 1b544296e1a58248d365711df7165bb5.jpg0c6bd9b843808f9958c566b3a6ffd63c.jpg

After the madness of the kids tearing throw, opening my from Secret Santa (didn’t have screen name on box), and found a knife sharpening stone and oil, usb charger which will come in handy as I now have 4 lights that have usb chargers, and a set of Wera micro screwdrivers, which I always seem to need somewhere. Thanks Secret Santa, whoever you are!
That was me. Signing my screen name usually leads to more confusion. Unless you recognize it, you may not realize I've actually identified myself, ha ha. Those sharpening stones are from here in Arkansas, evidently we have just the right kind of stone for them. Take note on that charger, two of the ports have the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 chip. Use those ports for phones and tablets, and the other four ports for your lights.

Wow, big thanks to Puget Dude for the great gifts! I was looking at buying the milwaukee stuff recently, I'm glad I didn't! I love the titan bit ratchet and 1/4" ratchet. They are super fine tooth and very comfortable in the hand! Also a huge thanks for the great bits, gloves, shot glass, and a wonderful message. Sorry for being a bad victim that didn't give you any hints. You are a pretty damn good guesser though!

My pleasure Kevin, I am glad you are happy! That 3/8" impact is an awesome tool. Powerful enough and fairly compact, while still delivering m18 power!

Enjoy the goodies and merry christmas to you and yours!

My secret santa was awesome. Huge thank you to Santa John! The 3/8 impact was on my radar since I got my m18 stuff. So stoked!!! The flex head ratchet will be handy and the oregon tshirt. Lmfao. It's so fitting because as an Michigan State fan I will wear it with pride as the Ducks beat U of M in basketball a couple weeks ago........and that is who my in laws love! 20191225_074705.jpg

Wow! Santa was good to me!

Here is my loot:

Dewalt utility knife. It's impossible to have too many utility knives, plus the bright yellow color will make it more difficult to misplace.

Felo screwdriver set. These bad boys were made in Germany. I love the blue ergonomic handles!

Milwaukee banner. Oh boy, I don't have two square feet of open wall space in the garage. So, I think that I'll fasten it to the overhead door.

Gearwrench 10mm deep socket. Aha, I get the logic behind this! Now that I have a spare I'll never lose a 10mm socket!

The packaging material in the box does double duty as shop rags. What an excellent idea. I can't think of anything else that lends itself to multi stage repurposing.

Thank you very much Santa!

I'm glad you liked it. I wrote a note to include but after I sent out the package I realized the note was still sitting on top of my desk.

My Secret Santa has a tough chore since I don’t post much but nailed it!! The Periodic Table keyring was awesome(I’m a chemist). The SK thumb ratchet is a live saver for tight work and I can always use more blades!! And the poster of the Chevy convertible is really fantastic. My dad had a 62 and I have a 75!!!!

My SS was 413dan. He got a good mix stuff. Weber instant read thermometer, Bone Suckin Sauce rub, Waterproof leather gloves, cards, magnetic bowl, and an American flag. Thank you very much!

I do grill/smoke year round so those will come in real handy and I'm especially loving the gloves with the adjustable ******** the back they are pretty sweet never had a pair like them. The interesting thing about the flag I took mine down last year because it was tattered and never got around to replacing it. Now, I don't have to. Thank You very much.

Opened my gifts this morning from Noid and had a chuckle. I was his SS last year and had read some posts from him about gloves so I sent him a few different ones to try. Well, he returned the favor this year and sent me a pair of Tillman gloves that fit perfect btw. I also had to look up the other gift he sent and was surprised I’d never seen it before. What a great idea for breaking stubborn bolts!
Thanks Noid!

Enjoy! I saw old cars and metal work in your instagram. The goatskin Tillman gloves have awesome dexterity for use as general mechanic gloves with occasional welding.

The tool hopefully comes in handy when working on an old rusty car!

Awesome gifts from my SS!

I love that you were able to find a local tool I didn't have (Picquic), even though we are from the same country. The flashlight I've steadily been using for the last couple days, and its been very nice; I like the double output feature.

Haven't had a chance to use the hat or handkerchief, but I surely will.

Thank you!

Got back from my in-laws a bit late, just got to open my GJSS gift from drsung, a great " Cajun Care Package"!

The Klein Screwdriver and HF work light will come in handy; looks like I'll finally have time to get back on the '32 roadster project after the first of the year.

I'll be sampling the sauces and spices over the next few days; we'll be entertaining family and friends between Christmas and New Years.

Thanks, Jason for a thoughtful GJ gift to a guy who really didn't need a lot more tools; you read between the lines on my hint post perfectly!

Big thanks to Cweidert03

Snap on ratcheting driver with some bits inside, a Wera zyklop 3/8 ratchet, and a Subway gift card good for several lunches.

I got some Wera drivers a few years ago so I'm excited to try out the ratchet.20191225_211235.jpeg

A huge thank you to my SS! .unsure of the screen name, but thank you so much Nicholas! What a great gift! I'm currently in wearing the hat, and I love the American flag on it. I love flashlights and this headlamp is a NICE one! Can't wait to try the delicious looking jalepeno beef jerky. (I'm still currently stuffed from brunch). I'll have a million uses for the utility knife, and I love the wood inserts. I can't wait to try the chemical guys carwash soap this summer! Even a pack of extra batteries! Thank you for a very generous gift and a merry Christmas to you!!

Your welcome. I hope you get to enjoy everything!

Thank you Roy for the wonderful gifts. Can never have enough depth measuring (so much more stable than a caliper) and the pocket hole is something I've been meaning to get! They're perfect

Was sick yesterday and didn't get a chance to post some pics. Thank you to my mystery GJSS for the lovely assortment of older wrenches including a 3061 Plomb and a Safety Yellow Proto contract production. Also appreciate the hex bit holder. My all thrown in a cup and have to dig evertime I need one.IMG_20191226_123637745.jpegIMG_20191226_123644681.jpeg
