Bob, I remember the hire the handicap, sig,
I thought it was great and fit you to a T!!
But alas not everyone is of the same thought process,
Though you could go with hire Bob he's fun to watch!
Does more with 1 hand missing than most can due with 2!
Stay safe down there!
Sublime, I appreciate the thought but I'm going to avoid offending anyone who has a handicap and isn't coping or the friends of the handicapped who feel the need to shield them them.
I heard we have a Shelter in Place order for our state. Seems timely. On Sunday Florida had 4,038 cases and 56 deaths. Today, three days later we have 7,773 cases and 101 deaths. With a population larger than New York State and 20.5% of Floridians being over 65 (only Maine ehas a higher percentage at 20.6) it's possible we'll catch up to and surpass New York as the state with the most cases and death. Florida can be #1!!!
I am just posting so Bob mentions me next time he posts.
Hang in there we are pulling for you.
Uncle Willie, sorry about the oversight but I really did try.
Bob you must be feeling better you're on a roll.
Bobby, I am feeling better but my roll is nothing compared to the spoke-shaved one you made in your new horse. That is a really cool design and perfect for your limited shop space.
Bob. I haven't go your whole thread thru yet so I didn't no you are going with one hand. I'm amazed that you do more things with one hand then most of us with two

I build a house for a family and the man was born without a right hand. It was fascinating to watch how he did things like a normal dude with one hand. I take my corona hat of for you guys
Have a great week Bob and stay healthy
Tapio, thanks for stopping by and I'm so sorry about the quicksand of my thread. I warned people it was a bad idea to encourage me.
I appreciate the encouragement but I doubt I could come close to making my shop as beautiful and functional as yours even if I had three hands. It just keeps getting better and better.
I'm glad you were fascinated by your one-armed builder -- we really are fun to watch.
Week is getting better and so am I. Thank you!!
I would hate to go through life without a sense of humor, even about the things that pain me. Humor has always been my #1 coping mechanism. In short, I like your style, Bob.
Tom, I was offered a teaching gig at Marist College. My art professor wanted me to hold a coping seminar for the students who had trouble dealing with a Friday night blackhead. It was back in the '70s and I could see it being even more needed today. I just have a hard time talking to the top of kid's heads so it's probably not for me.
BOB: sorry to hear you might have a cold. I had a cough and sneezing last week for a day or so and it went away so guessing I have some sort of alergy and maybe you do to.
yep this quarantine stuff is not great at all. i'm hearing from some of my neighbors that while nobody knows anybody yet with C-19 stories of a terrible sort of flu they or loved ones had a few months ago sounded like C-19 might have been around her for 6 months or so.
I hope you feel better soon cause even while you are stuck at home I bet you still have a few things on the TO DO & HONEY DO LISTS you'd like to check off.
take care and keep smiling.
Drives, I spent about 18 hours in bed and my sniffles went away as soon as I put on the CPAP mask. Temperature came up from 96.6F to 98.1 and I made myself some home-made chicken soup. Back to feeling fine.
I have limped or hobbled since high school the knees have taken a beating since then. A few times have been questioned by opposing team with how can I play like that. I mention it does not hurt my skiing or skating, just walking and stairs ****. I do want to kill the ski resort designer that puts bathrooms down or up stairs.
For years as I hobble off to do something at the race track I would mumble Hire the handicapped we are fun to watch.
Snow flakes should be groomed and raced on!
Tell a lot of young people if you don't like what your doing do something else, as you will find out this is not a dress rehearsal.
Stay safe.
Pi_guy, I think I was the opposite. I looked like a cripple when I wore hockey skates or skied on my sticks with leather straps. Switched to figure skates and it was better but still a lot of fun to watch. Skating was cheap so we went to the local frozen lake and spent hours there. Never had the money to outfit myself with ski gear, let alone the wife and kids. Really crushed me when I discovered you had to pay to get to the top of the mountain because my childhood skiing was in empty hay fields -- you had to work hard to get to the top and even harder to stay upright all the way to the bottom. If you fell, the skis or at least one of them would come off and finish the ride without you.
It is sad so many snowflakes are getting this trial by fire. What in the world are they going to whine about when the stores are out of everything in their size? Only Lululemon yoga pants left are ***!!!
Guys, Bob’s no roll over guy.
He rolls with the punches.
Rock on Bob,
We

you.
Rian, not quite true -- I do drop and roll whenever I set myself on fire.
Back at ya my friend.
Bob, don't you be getting ill on us mate,

, best advice I can give is, stay indoors and keep warm, oh wait
Mrs S has some real horror stories at the minute, but we'll save them for another day.
Keep well
Steve
Steve, it is hard to tell when you are running a fever in Florida. I know something's wrong when the house is set to 78*F and I'm feeling chilled.
Mrs. S and my daughter-in-law are witnessing a lot of the same stuff. Doctors diagnosing patients from across the room while the nurse gets up close and personal. When our system is used to handling 800,000 flu patients with some needing a day or two on a ventilator, this thing is a shock. Patients by the thousands on top of the usual load and needing 20 days on a ventilator is a whole new world.
Bless Mrs. S and I hope you give her a round of applause every time she comes in the door. I am one-hand clapping as hard as I can over here.
