Replacing my 10yo Bosch Drill and Impact Driver as the chuck on the drill is worn out, and a new one is almost $80 as the gearset is attached to it. I really wanted to stick with Bosch, but imho Milwaukee is blowing them out of the water. Gonna guess going from brushed motors and 1.5aH batteries to brushless motors and 5aH batteries is gonna get me some much needed extra run time!

My online order is stuck in no-man's-land, so I convinced the local HD to match the online bundle price:

I'm gonna keep them for now...im gonna keep an eye on eBay for a new chuck or drill. I still don't know how I feel about jumping off the Bosch ship, hoping the Milwaukee stuff holds up as well as my Bosch did.

My faithful 40+ year old Sears 9" grinder finally quit. Today I got this Metabo one I ordered, it works great. So nice buying something made in USA or Germany not China!20200605_171155.jpg

I had one just like that, I searched quite some time for a reasonably priced goose egg motor cover but couldn't find one and ultimately had to sell it before I moved. That's a very nice example of one of the earliest Unisaws.

Sorry I missed this post....
Thanks! It cuts like butter too.

I've wanted one since I was a little kid. Some of my first memories were my dad dragging home his monster (to me) Delta Table Saw and using it while I stood by terrified...

I never thought I'd find one I could afford, and certainly not one in this nice shape... But it popped up on CL at just the right time....

The guy didn't budge on the price and when we loaded it up, he hid the motor cover and acted like I already had it... That pissed me off a bit and I thought we were going to have a big problem over it, but he relented when I found it in his shop... So all good in the end. But I'm smarter now.

Those look pretty nice.... i am jealous.... i just started welding about a year and a half ago.... i am working on a small stash.. mainly victor stuff.... my father helped me out a little and I tried to go with vts 2 stage regulators... i have pile of spare stuff now.... in Phoenix I found a mom and pop torch repair... they can make them look like new... i just usually have my regulators just fixed and not totally rebuilt because of the time involved to have them cleaned up in the media blaster.

That’s some serious cutting gear, as a plumber I have a small kit for brazing and I have a cutting head that doesn’t get much use but a 6ft cutting torch is something iv never seen

New screwdrivers for the workshop and one for my wife and I needed a crimper today and it was easier and probably cheaper to buy another than go get my other one. I also picked a sweet little trim air compressor and air hose and Milwaukee chalk line and aviation snips but that’s at work so I don’t have pictures.

Make sure you test it. I bought one, had to exchange it because it consistently read 6-7% off. Replacement also reads 6-7% off. This one is going back too - I like these torque wrenches, but if they’re not accurate I can’t use them.
