Fabricated and installed a mounting bracket to add a 5 gallon Jeep can for gasoline to fuel my generator. Now the generator with it's gas can is ready to be rolled into my van to provide job site or emergency power whenever needed.

Built and installed this aftercooler in my shop air system today. Coil is 5/8" ACR tube. Air flows from the compressor to the top of the 50' coil. At the bottom of the coil just before the up loop to the storage tank there is Tee which drops to a collection tank for H20. After the storage tank there is a filter/regulator before the main airline. The collection tank, storage tank and filter/regulator can all be drained. If necessary I'll add a fan to blow over the coil when the compressor comes on.

Inside beautiful parts, all stainless, clamps, pipes & mufflers.

I will post the weigh saved, having removed the resonator & stock mufflers. The axel backs total weight 33lbs, X pipe maybe 10lbs.

Prep the parts. preinstall

Now dry tape removed, nice

Installed, 1.5 hour cut off stock mufflers, install Axel backs. With the X pipe and axel backs, this completes the Roush exhaust system.

Oh the sound robust & very healthy.

Winner, great upgrade. 10 points

Well it's 10:30. I finally made it to the garage. So far I am just admiring my big mess of a garage. I have so many things to do but no real ambition. The irony is I am thinking about other 'new' projects I would like to add, but have so many partial projects in the road. Hello motivation...... Where are you?

Thx guys
Reduction is 72:1 so the little 8hp Briggs can skid a 5000lb log ( or about 10x it's weight)
4wd,4ws, handy in the back 40. I agree though, fly-by- wire makes for a lot of belts and cables. In the belt tunnel, two belts are high, two belts are low and two belts are reverse. The stem drives a countershaft which then drives 4 more belts LOL
Hydraulic would be the way to go now but this was built in the 70s and adapted from aircraft.

Plow is a hoot also, I don’t use 3 pt hitch as much as logging winch

Yesterday I had to track down what was blowing the fuse for the main garage lights (and my internet...)

Definitely something burned up as I could smell it...

It was the last Florescent left in there (built into the ceiling in the Work/tool room....) I had left it on the day before. Turned that off and the breaker and everything else was fine, so now I'll be forced to do the replacement (I've had the LED replacement for ages just didn't have the gumption...)

Other than that, put the window AC unit back into storage. we used in the Kitchen for the first time this year. with all the over 90 and sometimes 3 digit days we had this year it was a life saver...

Finished up my Power tool holder. Added a bottom brace and finished up with the red paint. While it was drying I added wheels to knife throwing target. Also added a rope. ITs about 10 ft high and barley clears my door. The thing is pretty heavy as well. When I lay it down its easier to move.

DeeD, you might want to get an old roll-up carpet for in front of the knife target. Save some wear and tear on the knives on bounce back.

Getting into the "finding a place for everything" phase for the interior. Installed the security camera up in the corner (fun to do on the ladder fully extended) and running cabling for network/audio/video along the walls. I don't know if I'll be able to meet my goal of comfortably fitting three cars in the garage unless I park one on the lift :)
Too much stuff.

Started restoration on 1920 Werlich wagon. It’s used constantly in summer for gardening chores.

SWMBO decided she wanted slide out drawers in a pantry cabinet that we have. So most of the day went to that - most of tomorrow will go to that also. 3 of 6 done so far. It's a frameless cabinet but I still had to cut spacers for the slides to clear the hinges and the doors. Once all the drawers are done I'll add sides. It's a cheap cabinet so each drawer is slightly different making multiple cuts to get it right. The slides are 22" full extension with soft close.

I cleaned, polished several classic vintage wrenches. Proto, Bonney, Williams, Herbrand and so on but only for a couple hours because unfortunately I had real chores to do.

Mostly Halloween prep: raked and swept the driveway (which needed it anyway as it was littered with acorns...)

And setup a "delivery chute" for the candy IF any kids show up. It allows "social distancing" while giving the candy out.

I can't claim credit; I lifted the idea from someone on the Coleman forum.

Oil changes in SWMBO Camry, the snowblower, lawn mower, yard vac, and leaf blower. Started oil change in the hot rod, will finish that tomorrow, probably. Started cleaning the hot rod after last weekend’s road trip, will probably have to finish that next weekend. The year is over, so it’s time to store it until spring.

Installed the Harbor Freight organizers, magnetic shelf and paper towel holder on my recently acquired roller cabinet. Used CLR to clean up some rusty tools. Cleaned the Weber and moved it to the garage for winter use. Oiled my workbench top. Swept up.

How did that work out ?

We only had one trick or treater, a young family taking their toddler out, but the chute (an old sliding closet door rail) worked perfectly and kept social distancing. The father was impressed and said so.

I expected maybe a couple of groups of teens, at most. this was the least turnout for Halloween ever for us.

The person I lifted the idea from on the other hand, said they had a record turn out? :dunno:

How was everyone else's Halloween turn out? any? a few? a lot?

Told a buddy my garage is not open for him to do work on his truck anytime he needs to.
But ended up letting him in so he could clean out his mass air flow sensor.

Then I cleaned out under the bronco and slipped in a patch panel in the floor.

Ignore the crappy welds from before. Still need to smoothen out the tacks and run some 2” beads once all the panels are tacked in.

i had a rare "off weekend" from shooting competition.

spent part of saturday and sunday working on some lighting stakes for xmas lights.
last year the critters kept chewing up the lights (at ground level) i had bordering all the garden beds. decided to get the light strands up 24" off the ground this year.

i had a bunch of 1/2" rebar laying around, cut to 30", welded a "stop" washer 6" from the bottom, and bent and welded some S hooks to the top from light attachment.

got all 50 of them spaced 5' apart and set out in the ground before it freezes.

Grabbed the tub drain tools, to defur the the drain. Having long hair, sure makes for a long dreadlock.

We had 3 ToT's. All at once, in the daylight. They found the cauldron of candy just fine. No one visits my house after dark. Dunno why.

Ripped out the old Fluorescent fixture and mounted the LED. I still need to hang a box on the Romex the old fixture used.

Got the Halloween stuff put away, putting away stuff from the oak machinists box I bought Sat. Some of the dies were good odd small sizes so should be good for some of the odd sizes used on old lanterns and guns...

Rearranged the entire garage to make more room. Spent the day trying to fit the wife's new to her grand Cherokee into the same space her old fiat 500 lived in.

Sanded & applied 3rd coat of polyurethane to my new clean workbench. Test fit some metal drywall trim to the edge. It will cover that it's 3/4" OSB with 1/8" underlayment on top.
