I think this is a Makita 2116 Resawing Band Saw. These were sold in the USA in the 80's and maybe early 90's.

This one appears to have the "universal" 120 volt motor. Basically a router motor... loud as the dickens.

I'm not saying the price is a steal but, based on the poor (in my opinion) description and "Bansaw" in the title, this may not sell too quick.

Looks to be located in Clarkrange, TN (about 75 miles west of Knoxville).

I wish. Wife and I just got here yesterday after 850 mile drive. Enjoying our new grand daughter (born 9/25). The vise and swage are about 25-30 miles, 35-40 minutes away.

Our daughter goes back to work on Monday at the end of her maternity leave, SIL working next week too.

At best, if it is still available, I can sneak up there during the week. I am not a huge metal worker, and I have plenty of vises, although a resto on that vise would be likely be fun.

Thats a great deal and only 45 min drive away and I even have a 6' maple block top waiting for it but I'm maxed out. I would only need the drawers.

I'm sure there's already someone driving to it, there has to be.
