Getting ready to build a shed for the wife. 12x22. On an existing concrete pad. 8 foot walls. OSB all the way around. Going with metal sides and roof. 4/12 pitch. And lumber isn’t cheap. Can’t wait any longer. After this she shed is built, my shop is next. Pictures:

Nice to have a pad to start with--and good luck with your build.

When garage time starts--this is the best place for advice! (Some of it is even usable!)

Simple project, lucky you! This is my wife's version of a "she-shed" that we recently build - 12x20 "sunroom" that is now loaded with plants.

I have learned there is truth in "Happy Wife; Happy Wife". The efforts you put into the She Shed should benefit you when you want something for your shop.

^^ Looks nice!!

I'm familiar with the Mtn. Home area. Are you in town, out in a small town, or near one of the lakes?

She sheds are fantastic!

Great way to keep all the yard equipment out of the shop.

Today I have finally been able to acquire the last materials for my project. A 10 x 12 shed for my father. He has a small 6 x 8 shed now with no door and the door opening is not big enough for a lawnmower to push through. Here is what I obtained in materials through craigslist, marketplace and word of mouth. 200 spent on 57 22in x 96in sheets of OSB, 65 dollars spent on 60 8ft metal studs, 8 10 ft track and 45 pcs of hat channel. 10 dollars for self tapping screws(about 1000 of different kinds) and 60 dollars on 12 2 x 6x 10. so all my materials cost 335 bucks. I have a start date of 4-15-21. If not too busy I will post pics as i go.

Nice!

I built my wife a 12x20. Its a perfect size, big enough for her to do her thing out there, but not big enough to facilitate her hoarding. . . .

If you haven't got the door, or windows yet there might be some habitat for humanity stores around that could have a good deal on materials. We snagged really nice windows for $100.

Winters aren't that bad in the area, although I remember once they got over 2 feet of snow. I'd still want insulation. That way a small space heater makes it a year-round shed.

If I had a husband, and he was building me a she shed, I'd want insulation, some kind of lining, and electric. I imagine he'd sleep on the couch a lot if he was unwilling.
Well, looks like I’ll be sleeping on the couch! lol

Winters have been mild. However, this past winter did stay below freezing for 7 days! With 6 inches of snow!

Well, looks like I have to invest in a new couch.

The question I have, will your shop be insulated? I just wouldn't build any structure like that without insulation, finished walls & some type of climate control, just good practice fwiw. Otherwise nice job!
