There is a lot of interest in Blackhawk tools and toolboxes. We already have a general thread and tool box thread.
Let's start Blackhawk specific thread! Caterpillar boxes welcomed!

Not as pristine, but this is what I have!BT10.jpgBT2.jpgBT3.jpgBT5.jpgBT9.jpgBT5.jpgBT9.jpgTB11.jpgBlackhawk_3.JPGBlackhawk_4.JPGBlackhawk_5.JPG

Nice start to the thread, lots of information and images.

Here's mine on top of a Plomb Toolmobile:

Some former owner added these very heavy-duty sorters to the drawers:

This one was in the other main drawer:

Here it is with the drawers pulled out. You can see the hasp loop that was welded on to replace the lock:

The major issues with it are the missing badge, one of the chrome strips is gone and the welded hasp. Not too shabby. Now to find a roller for it.

Ok guys, I'm in on this project.
I'll take some good shots of my DD99 box tomorrow and add it to this thread and yes I'll need a badge for it

Thanks Shelby for posting all the info on these boxes

Got to love it! This is only the second one I saw in several years - another one was somewhere in Illinois. The handles look the same as older Snap On (my K200 has the same)

I wish I had your skills Y'sguy! Got to love the work and the family heritage! Very unusual to see a red drawer liner, but I think it works great with the white color in this case. I hope I will find a bottom roller like yours - very classy and a lot of space!

Thank you, Shelbylex, not so much skills just OCD and a little patience and a desire to bring back something from my past. The great thing is it's being used all the time and holding up as well, and gaining new nicks and bumps this go around. It holds all the tools I need with some room left over. I keep my eyes open for them as well but never stood next to another one in 70 years. I know they must be out there tho.

Can you read the script on the bottom of the round nugget tool display on the "DD99" brochure
I'm not finding anything on the net about that display

Sorry, Don. Can not read it either. I do not remember where I got the image - possibly from e-bay if somebody was selling the magazine. Unfortunately I did not save the origin in my file... It is from Automobile digest March 1939. Just tried going through the archive.org and can not find it. I wonder which library would have it - somebody has to!

Looks great, Oldtuleguy! Can you scan the contents page of the set (the lower part of the page you scanned) and add it to your post?

Awesome set OTG! Are all the tools marked “caterpillar” or just the screwdrivers?

Box came only with 3/4 drive sockets, which were not marked with cat numbers. I collected everything else going by the vendor numbers in the book, plus some extras.

The monkey lamp was not to girlfriends taste, so has been banished to the tool room!

Here is the treasure chest, complete with 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4 drive sets as well as an assortment of early blackhawk wrenches.20210621_211921.jpg20210621_211936.jpg20210621_211728.jpg20210621_211618.jpg20210621_211447.jpg

Another addition to my collection. I originally got in touch with the owner of this chest several months ago. it was located far and in another state. He had a plan to go on a trip through MA in the summer, but it did not play out. However, recently he was going on a trip through my state and we met. It was originally from Bethesda MD. At some point it made it to CT and lived there for some time. After 2h drive to our meeting point and another hour of driving, it's at a new home in MA
It was repainted 4 times from what I can see. Has some rust, multiple paint levels. From the bottom of the drawers and some places where white paint did not sit well and can be lifted, I see the black underneath.
So here it comes:
No W "Big Chief" case from 1930 catalog

...Does anybody else have one in original condition? I would be interested in seeing an original label if possible

That box started life in my neck of the woods.

A good amount of elbow grease and you can restore this thing to like new condition.

Here is my 50B nugget tool box that I scored last week.
It had an assortment of nugget sockets. Several duplicates which will help me put together a round nugget display board

Blackhawk Wrenches Handy Guide_0033.jpg2021-10-21 21.01.52.jpg2021-10-21 21.00.30.jpg

I found some nuggets for the box

It came short the tray so if any of you true blue blackhawk collectors know of an extra one PLEASE let me know.

This box looks very familiar to me. Did it happen to come from the mid Atlantic region?
