Hammer and dolly work on a gas pump door. Gilbarco 900 series, been in the family from new. I don’t know why I waited so long. Dad put these in the barn before I was born, and for some reason the doors were off and they got damaged quite a bit over the years.

Tried to modify some curtain rod brackets. Failed gruesomely. Repaired the mess. Cleaned up.
Whatever chinesium **** they are making curtain rod brackets out of nowadays truly *****. It's bizarrely brittle.

Getting rid of old miss matched tools etc. giving to my brother in law for landscaping trailer.
Have way way to many craftsman tools.
I worked at GM and every time Sears had a sale on entire set I would by one. Which ended up being every year. I must have a 2000 allen wrenches.
Im 67 so time to thin the heard. Still have some old good stuff from dad as he was tool and die also.
Plus grandfather was a machinist.
I’ve got one drawer that were gramps old tools a few with wooden handles. Wish I was crafty enough to redo handles.

Here's a few pics. The 'shoe I've had for about 2 years now. It's a blast to drive and I can't buy gas without ending up answering a bunch of questions. The CBX my dad bought in the mid '80's and I've had it for about 15 years now. It has just over 12k miles on it. He still has an '82 as well with about 10k miles that I need to go pick up at some point. I'm in the middle of getting this one running again now. Needs carbs gone through and a few other small items. I just got the tank back from GTL in Hollywood, CA since it had rust in it so I had them line it. They gave it a nice polish while they had it. Looks nice for 42 year old original paint.

My ex girlfriend got to visit Japan and see these in 1st year production. She sent me a postcard and told me about a 6 cylinder bike and I was dumdfounded that was even possible. Love the sound like a F1 car on the track.

Since I'm planning a TT swap for my Z in the coming months and am respraying the PS door soon to fix some parking lot damage, I decided to grab a reproduction fiberglass 90-93 TT spoiler to make it look the part (eventually). Being a reproduction, naturally the fitment isn't 100% perfect. The fit to the hatch is spot-on (thankfully) but the recess for the third brake light needed some massaging.

Out of the box the recess was a touch narrow and a but shallow. A bit of work with 180 grit on the sides created adequate clearance, but I had to bust out the M12 RADG to massage the back of the pocket. Before/ after

Modified some chairs:

Why post the short version when I can ramble on...... A few years ago I built a small table with drink holders so I could relax in my shop & watch the traffic, neighbors, & boats on the Intracoastal Waterway through my shop door. Over the years I've sat in directors chairs (which I enjoyed until my wife washed the fabric & shrunk it to the point the chairs hurt), a set of sling chairs my wife liked, but got hard after some time. I was going to put some pads in those chairs, but one started to rip. Decided we needed new, padded, chairs. Found some on Amazon (where else?) & ordered them. Came in a couple of days ago. I didn't look at where they were made, but I can only guess that they were made for children, or pygmy's or pygmy children. They were SHORT!

Today I broke out the band saw, air tools, & a dremel. Cut some pipe with an ID near the size of the OD of the chair legs. Measured & cut extensions for each leg. Then cut enough clearance to slide over the existing leg to the first support & added some rubber feet. Extended the chair legs a few inches till they fit with the table. Comfy padded chairs next to our table with a view.......All is good...

I'll paint to match later...................

Not sure if I said this in the other thread, but my sisters and I chipped in and got my dad an 820 for Christmas. He called me on Monday to let me know he had it all put together and was using it for hamburgers.

Cleaned a Kersone heater that my Dad had sitting in his shed for years... It was filthy. Put in some new batteries, soldered the ignition wires to the battery compartment and she fired right up. I have a 155,000 btu torpedo heater which gets the garage up 70° F in about 5-10 minutes then I can turn off the torpedo heater and this heater maintains the temp without all the noise.

Mounted my new super fancy, ultra modern, ready for a moon landing soda can crusher on a 1/2" x 4" x 14ish" plank of wood (furniture grade of course). My beer cans aren't too happy tho.

I do the same exact thing, only I use two wick heaters that we used to have in the race shop. Fortunately, now that I don't have a $200 daily driver to keep running, I don't have to do anything in the garage in the winter anymore, so they don't get used too much.

Cost myself $50, so I got off easily . . .

I bought a replacement rear wiper for Mrs No_Garage's Ford Focus and brutalized the wiper arm trying to get the old wiper blade off.

The replacement wiper arm was $35 from Amazon and the puller was another $11 from Amazon.

Cheers

Finally finished painting my auto rotisserie that I built about 10 years ago. I took apart and added an acme screw to the cross bar on the second unit then painted everything. Originally I only had an acme screw on one unit but when I used the rotisserie to rebuild the 700# engine from my Oliver tractor I found that the unrestrained cross bar moved too much for my liking (everything is on roller bearings) and I had to C-clamp it in position. Now there is vertical and horizontal control on both units.

Converting a HOLMES 440 wrecker from pto winch to the 220 model with RAMSEY 8k lb worm gear winch like they used on the 220 model from the factory . Made my best copy of the mounting plates from few pics i could find . Then from advice from some guys who used them back in the day i made a bolt in battery trayfor a deep cycle battery next to the winch to help its performance.

Did some maintenance work on my daughters 4runner so she can drive during the snow later this week. Changed the oil, who is the ******* that came up with the oil filter mounting set up on the 3.4 engine? Aired up the tires, replaced a brake light bulb and both headlight bulbs as they had no high beam. Spend some time trying to find the new rubbers for the front sway bar end links, found them this morning looking for my cordless dremel. REALLY need to spend some time getting things squared away in there this weekend. Time to get back into the F350 build.

Peeled of the safety stickers from my new reels...
2021-12-22 006.JPG

Nice. You're going to love those Reelcraft hose reels. I worried about their quality and if they were worth the money when I bought them for my new shop about 4+ years ago but I am sure glad I bought them. They are nice, quality reels.

Spent time cutting up cardboard boxes that I've been collecting and ignoring much of the year. Gonna start doing so every other week when the recycle bin goes out. Yep, just another day in my boring/retired life. I really miss riding my Honda 500 CMX during this time of the year (cold weather brings out the worst of my arthritic hip).
