Sometimes it’s surprising what people have lying around at sales.
Indeed!

If only for a sense of completion, thanks to Don, one WWII motor vehicle mechanics' ignition wrench in a 9/32" (15* angle) x 5/16" (60* angle) configuration that was lying around in a garage or a basement somewhere before he acquired it has now been paired up with its 9/32" (60* angle) x 5/16" (15* angle) configuration brother inside the partial 41-W-900 ignition set, in original leatherette pouch, that was lying around in a garage or basement in NJ and taken to one of my flea markets a few years ago! :)

I even like the big old serif "3" stamps on it. 3rd platoon. Mechanic #3. Doesn't matter. I like it!

My Proto mfd era *metric* doe roll. The wrenches are a mixture of Proto la and Proto mfd but all are in good shape and I believe are original to the roll. These are not particularly common.

I picked up this ratty LECTROLITE wrench roll from the flea yesterday. The branding on the roll is barely visible and the wrenches have a decent amount of storage rust. They’re soaking in the evaporust now.

I've been trying to piece together a set of period correct Facom tools for my 2CV, unfortunately I haven't found everything I'd like to have in a tool kit and until I piece together a period correct kit, this is part of what I roll with in my 2CV's tool kit. Got the canvas and leather tool roll from Epsteins. Even though it's new, it kinda has a vintage feel and looks good in the 2CV

This Taiwanese metric tool roll was in the Craftsman toolset I picked up at a moving sale on Thursday. Initially I put it with the other tools in the discard pile but the roll itself was so intact that I reconsidered. I removed the Taiwanese markings and plan to populate it with some US made metric wrenches.

"Cen-Tech" (aka "Century Tool") was an offshoot of Steelcraft. the Century Tool catalog is available at ITCL. I didn't find THAT wrench set in it, though.

I cross posted the Millers Falls glass cutter with pouch on the Millers Falls thread but it belongs here as well. When I went to add it to my user toolbox I found a similar Red Devil cutter in the pouch.

Picked this up yesterday. Seems to be complete 4/16 thru 16/16
Bits are all rusty so I have a couple soaking in Evaporust to see if there are any maker's markings.

Was my grandfathers. Sadly don’t have the original Allen keys from it. Not sure what I should use it for.C760714C-9A54-4B47-A5EC-951F1C3838F2.jpeg

Here's a nice set of Ace Hanson extractors and a Blackhawk set that belonged to a good friend of mine.
The Blackhawk set has two extractors that are broken

^ I see you got your time machine up and running again.
Always wondered who made that unit with the plastic around the outer perimeter. Parker! Who knew?

My grandpa gave me this old chisel roll thirty years ago, as well as a military brace and bit roll (no photos of that, yet). I figure this must be an old one, since it says the tools are for wheelwrights.

I've used the D.R. BARTON chisel quite a bit. The others, not so much.

^ I am assuming from your post that the other chisels in that kit are not stamped "D.R. Barton", correct?
It looks like the earlier Barton edge tools are held in pretty high esteem by collectors.

Barton / D.R. Barton, Rochester, NY / est. 1832, acquired 1874 by William R. and Royal L. Mack, renamed to Mack & Co., but marketed "D.R. Barton" brand until 1923 / edge tools, chisels / https://www.davistownmuseum.org/bioBarton.html / https://swingleydev.com/ot/get/90095/thread/ / https://archive.org/details/Barton1909 /
