Maybe it isn’t tweaked, It measures out like it is parallel, the old weld base plate was crooked, but even after I removed that, the way it is cast, it looks off.

I bought and installed these lights a couple years ago, they were in the office at the Hill. When we started the remodel I pulled the bulbs out, as I remember there was something about shunted or not shunted tombstones and I feel like I had to swap them out, I forgot to keep them and the old fixtures are long gone. I will have to do a bit of research again, once I pull one apart I should know if they work or not.

Depends on the led bulbs, are they the ones with hot/line and neutral on the same end? and are your current lights rapid start t8? If so the current tombstones are shunted(both pins tied together) and won't work with the bulbs that have line and neutral on the same end

Went digging in the deep storage, found some wire I needed, then a couple other things, I grabbed a bin to see if it will work for what I want to setup, also grabbed a big hydraulic C press, my neighbor is trying to get some pins out of an excavator track and it may help. Now to commence shop Tetris.......

That's a really lousy place to hide a body.

I got the Lista cabinets cleared off so they are ready to move. I may try and move a few more things, but it is getting late and I can do more another day.

Hopefully it will go back down, by the time it does, I should have a handle on what I need. I will be saving and reusing the lumber that I remove for sure, not going to be wasteful when wood is more expensive than ever. I hate to say it, but I may resort to sawing some lumber, assuming I can get Dad's sawmill to cut straight boards instead of the fancy tapered ones it does now.

I haven't even left the house yet, but I need to drop off some things at the SG, then go back to the Hill and assess some things. I know I need to order some supplies, but I want to make sure that I get what I need. The little garage attached to the house needs to have the lights rewired, I took the fluorescent bulbs out and have LED bulbs to put in, but I think I need new tombstones to make it work. I have to yank one apart to see.

Don't count on prices going down. With inflation sitting somewhere around 15% (Thanks King Biden) i don't think we see a return to the old pricing.

I can personally attest that you are correct. My visit was like Jake in Wonderland. The only thing missing was a sign outside stating that “You must be this tall to enter this ride”.

I decided to unload the Burb and then get the shop at the Hill situated so I can do some work on the lift tomorrow. I moved things around and made room so the Blue Burb is inside waiting for tomorrow, this way it will be warm and dry since it is supposed to rain in the morning.

CB, that is called a ginpole, sometimes they use jinpole too, basically a portable crane.

Unfortunately the hydraulic C press is not for sale, I am working on getting more hydraulics, not less. Once we try it out on my neighbor’s track pin I will let you know if it is worth a hoot, from what I have seen, it will probably be too light duty, we will find out.

That is what I think we will need, although 10 tons is better than no tons. Heat will be our friend.

I have already been driving three different truck, a scissor lift, and a forklift, going to go to the SG to use Clark and Baker to get some of the **** shuffled while I still have some rain free outside time. The stack of shelving and plywood has to go outside to make things happen.

Mission complete, except the rain is freezing rain, so the ride home should be interesting, plus the driveway going up to the Hill is probably all ice just like the yard at the Salvage Garage is. I got the steering unit loaded as well, that is for Ponch, the orange forklift at the Hill, this one doesn’t leak like the current one does.

You can see the general idea of the temporary layout for the first Stak Rack, three bays fits snug, but I can live with it for now. I had to move them out of alignment a bit to fit the blue cabinet in there, but I hope to have those gone tomorrow, assuming there isn’t too much ice.

It wasn’t really icy at the Hill, may be a skating rink tomorrow depending on when it stops raining and what the temps are. I figure I will probably be sanding everything tomorrow, I really don’t want to waste a quarter of my day doing that, but I will need to be able to get the ramp truck up and down the Hill, it is 4x4, but Dad put steer tires all around, so it tends to have little to no traction.

Insurance adjuster told me that I am being difficult and that I keep "pushing back", this is because I emailed them on Thursday to tell them that they quoted parts for the wrong model truck and that they had the wrong mileage. In the same email, I provided the proper part numbers and a quote with prices from the supplier they recommended. He then told me that the model number wasn't important, it was about the prices, when I told him that the prices were incorrect, he then got mad again saying that it was all my fault because I withheld my quote and that is why this is an issue.

Originally they told me that they wanted pictures and no one was going to look at the truck, that is why I paid for an independent company to look at it. Once the insurance company found out that I hired someone, they stopped doing their job and then got mad when I refused to give my quote to them. Now they are blaming everything on me, they can kiss my ***. I got a quote to protect myself, not to help them.

I say sand, but it is a mix, the salt softens the ice and the sand gives it texture for a long time.

This insurance adjuster isn’t working for me, so it is even worse, third party claims are tough. I can go through my company, but I want to see this through and I am going to make them pay.
