if that model prone to tipping?

Its fairly common for smaller tractors to either turn the wheels around so the offset is wider, when the wheels permit it. In this case spacers keep his tires facing the right direction.
The BX is no more prone to tipping than any other narrow wheel base scut, but for the price of spacers I'm buying peace of mind. I do tend to use things at their maximum. I know I will have unbalanced loads with cutting long logs held in the grapple from one side.

Carted in my new welding table delivery. It's in a box and probably straight outta China. I don't like import products, but I'm excited to finally have a surface to weld on that isn't the floor.

WEnt to a rental to assess the need for major fence repairs, found that we only need to replace a fence post and replace a wooden gate.

Threw out about 15 pounds of steel scrap and a set of JVC Stereo headphones that I did not feel like making the effort to trouble shoot and repair.

Sold a truck bed that was tucked away in the corner of the “shop”. The guy that bought it, stuck around to see what the outcome of another transaction I had going on was going to end in, since he wanted to buy that truck too (coincidence).

So while we waited for the other guy to show up, the guy helped me load a bunch of stuff/totes into the red truck and then drive over to the garage and unload them into my garage. These are totes that are “mixed”. Tools, parts, junk, etc. and now that they’re in the garage, I can sort and organize them better. Put tools away, put same make parts in totes (totes for Cummins parts, totes for k1500 parts, totes for 1972-1980 dodge truck parts, etc etc). So while the garage got “crowded”, tomorrow I can start working out there organizing.

It’s funny because I joined this forum when all I had was a 10’X12’ shed I was working out of with hopes of building a garage. Now I have an attached 2 car garage, and a 28’X30’ pole barn. I have room to actually ORGANIZE! Yet I need MORE room! Haha

Cranked up Mr. Heater in the Can-Am garage to warm it up while I was blowing snow around the trailer and entrances. Quickly realized Mr. Heater would do squat in -17*C, even if all I wanted to do was tidy up the workbench and air up the ATV tires. So, I shovelled of the balcony and retreated indoors for the day/weekend!

Did some work at my parents' house as dad just had a hip replacement (all is well).
Saw a lot of my grandfather in my dad's organization (or lack thereof) and keeping of misc everything.

Thankfully, I am already going down a different for organizing and keeping what I need, not everything I might need if some weird scenario should ever occur.

1) Made some dust collection fittings using pvc that I heated up and formed to the required diameters.
2) Used new Makita track saw to cut pegboard for the wall behind my workbench.
3) Made a horizontal fishing rod holder out of 1x4's.
4) Used the "new to me" vintage Craftsman miter box for the first time, not sure I like it.

@kaymccampbell - great enclose for all your IT devices in the shop! Now's the time to look at some of the devices we discussed in the 3D printer thread for environment monitoring etc. Happy to add to your project backlog...I suspect you did not need my help on that!

I rotated the tires on dads 2004 Camry. Hadn’t been done yet since we bought the tires in 2018 so I figured I’d better get to it. We get free rotates at Sam’s but last time they stripped two wheel studs which I ended up snapping off to do the brakes two years ago and they said oh we can’t touch it with broken studs and I’m like you are the ones who stripped them not me. Still would not touch it. I cleaned off the copper anti seize from the studs and replaced with silver as copper is too expensive to use too much of haha but I do have it. I also applied a boat load to the hub to wheel surface as they were so seized on I had to pry and wack on them with a dead blow to get them off. Done a front to back rotation as I believe you should not change direction of the tires. That’s what we do at work and what we did in school so I like to keep my ways the same. It’s totally fine though however you rotate them this way just makes me feel like I’m doing it right.

Made bolt head covers to finish up the diamond plate radiator panels. Quite labor intensive.
Find 1/2” copper caps for 40 cents ea.
File off markings.
Wet sand 300-2000. Then McGuire’s polish
Insert section of 1/2” pipe to match bolt heads diameter.
Find 1.5 mm set screws at a bargain, not a buck for 2 at HD.
Drill and tap all.
Tried clear coat from rattle can, sucked, knew it would.
Applied Rock Hard clear finger nail polish.
Mix of grind down washer head bolts & weld on 1/2 nut to 7/16 bolt heads.

Well, part of it happened in the shop. To make the lat/lon piece, I beat the ends of the wood with a hammer over the end of my anvil. A convenient knot hole made it easy to break part of it off. Then some paint, some flame, and let my vinyl cutter do It's thing. The compass rose came from a flea market. The wood is just pre-stained planks from Lowes.

For scale, the ceiling is a little over 18'. The compass rose is 42" diameter.

It turned out ok.

Just trying to keep busy in the cold and organized my tool box. I have a new Snap On cart I ordered for the new shop build and ordered a bunch of Olsa socket holders. To be honest the plastic ones I am not very impressed with so instead of using them in the new box, I used them in the old box. I also used the Tekton 1/2 inch holders which I thought would be better, they do the job though.

For the new box I ordered all Westling machine socket holders, I think they will complete the new box very well.

Here are some pics of what I did today. Missing a lot of my old sockets.............

Finished the printer enclosure. Cleaned it. Started cleaning up the mess. Flung away a garbage can of ****. Fitted larger cast iron valve wheels with Craftsman tablesaw tilt and elevation hubs.

The Garage Shop radio was really sounding bad because I was getting some really bad reception.
So I pulled the radio out of its cubbie hole to check the connection and found I had it on a short wire antenna that came with the radio.
Furthermore, I had a coax connection ready to plug in from the TV antenna I have in the attic, above the foil sheathing blocking signals.
No brainer, plugged it in and no static of weak signal!!!!! Yipee!
Why the heck I had that little wire connected is beyond me!
So while I was at it, I hooked up my wifes old IPOD (she like sirrus radio now days) to the game input and now I don't need any stinking antenna...filled the IPOD with all our tunes and have commercial free tunes.....
Sticky velcro keeps it attached to the boom box...thing cranks out pretty loud and crisp...very impressed!

I will get tired of my tunes and will still need that antenna....the freebee radio from a bud who moved out of state was a nice score.

Back to detailing my Mustang, cleaning up the engine bay and checking to see where I need to touch up the paint and polish any bare metal....

I am not happy with the way the housing looks on my stock alternator.
I tried to paint it to look better a while ago but it looks half baked.
So I am thinking of polishing the shell by fine grit sanding and polishing like I did with my stock calipers.
I am concerned about putting fines in the cavity thru the fins...have to pull the alternator and inspect it to see how best I can polish it without damaging it.
Any suggestions for polishing my alternator would be appreciated!!!

99.600 miles on the alternator so I might spring for a SR Performance Alternator; 135 Amp; Chrome , from American Muscle, if I can find one already polished, out of the box like the link, hopefully a little cheaper.

I would keep this as a original spare.
