Anyone into a vintage literature thread?
Yes. You may enjoy seeing more of it on the vintage books thread...

Yep, I post stuff on the book thread but wanted to start one for paper items that aren’t really books 👍

Might go for ads or advertising in the title if not all ready brought up.

"Literature" kinda big.

Good point. Advertising would probably make up a lot of the potential post, but I was also thinking it could be educational, photography, brochures, packages, manuals, magazines, posters, etc… Really anything with great graphics, illustrations or images printed on paper that’s not a book or metal sign since those already have their own threads. I think Mike Wolf would categorize what I’m thinking of as “vintage paper”

A little bit of Fadex/Isetta trivia. After not selling well in the US, Fadex sold its remaining inventory of Isetta's to Chadwick Engineering Works where the Isetta's were converted into a fiberglass bodied golf cart

I love seeing the old ads. When I find one from a local company, I look at the address and go try and find it or where it was

A agricultural artifact.
The brochure Mr. Hamons of Martinsville Indiana ordered a wheelbarrow seeder from during winter 1891.

The seeder he received.

The receipt for the seeder, found in the brochure Mr. Hamons kept all the years along with the seeder.

I have 2 seeders of that same design (one is for spares), last used Easter 1979 when i sowed a 13 acre field with grass and clover seed.

This is super cool! I actually have a ‘59 Nsu. Never seen another in person. I have always thought it would be super fun to slam it and make a tiny little hot rod

I also have a Simmons catalog page featuring the particular maker’s levels I collect. I think it’s from 1885
