After looking at the prices of these refrigerant recovery machine kits, I’m starting to think I should have just been patient and looked out for someone closing up their shop and selling a Recovery/charge machine instead.

Anyways another piece to the puzzle, trying to decide what Vacuum pump I’m going to get next.

Some finds at Ollie’s. They had tons of the brake lubricant and single pairs of gloves. They only had very few of the radiator hose grease which I haven’t seen before so that was pretty cool. I got the plastic scraper for scraping off sticky wheel weights because it’s hard to get the residue off so hopefully this will help. Also got some Great Neck wobble extensions. Not sure of the quality. I’ve had good luck with their tools. Package dated July 2007 they had others in 2010 and 2011 but I liked this old design package better haha. Figured with age these would be Taiwan made I didn’t know they made their stuff in China by then. If they aren’t any good I’ll just throw them in my broken tools box and move on.

My Ollie’s (Terre Haute) doesn’t usually have anything of real value in the tools and hardware. Occasionally I’ll find something in automotive but nothing like the brake grease.

Later, while with the wife and granddaughter, we stopped at a different TSC.

Crescent T&G pliers were $15, marked down to $9 clearance.

Fortunately, I had two $10 rewards on my TSC account, which I redeemed. The receipt shows so much coming off each item purchased, pliers price came in at $6.47, not bad even made in China.

The main reason I wanted to stop was to pick up a Gearwrench bit set. Normally $45 but the rewards brought the price down to $36.**, again not bad at less than $1/bit.

Will you let us know how you like them? I've been eyeballing them for a while now...

Will do. I don't have much planned for them, mainly needed the T10 for a spot where a normal bit was just 1/2" too short.
After looking around, I realized I had no long torx at all, so I figured I'd get a whole set.

I had to complete the set... 3/8" Hazet socket set.

Unfortunately, it was poorly packed so a lot of the sockets bounced loose, and left some pretty ugly detents in the foam. And the upside down laser markings are setting of my OCD. Other than that, I continue to be impressed by Hazet.

Took advantage of Gluttonous Capitalism Day Amazon Prime Day and picked up a Fluke 107.
I have a 107 (as well as 3 other Fluke meters). The 107 is not TRMS, but as long as you are only dealing with utility voltage, that is OK. My only gripe about it is the continuity beep tone is too quiet. I have tested it simultaneously against my Fluke 179 and 87V, and it stands up very well in the readings.

I am too looking for a 3/8 Hazet set but after getting the 953HP (1/4 and 1/2" set) for 171eur can't justify the ridiculous prices they want for the 3/8 (upwards of 300eur). How much you got yours and from where?

I'm after this:

Yeah I don’t foresee myself needing TRMS anytime soon.

I just need it for basic automotive and home use.

That is the 3/8 set that I was really after, but yah...I too cannot justify the price. But, then I stumbled upon the other one for a really good price, and had to have it. I'll just pick up the hex sockets separately.

I got it from Amazon US, via Amazon UK, for $155 with free shipping. I see you are in the EU, so you I'm not sure what the availability/shipping situation would be for you, though. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004H4EF88/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Thanks, didn't know about this "lesser" set. Off to my local Hazet dealer tomorrow ;)

TBH, I have all these extra sockets, just not in Hazet.

A few Tekton comfort grip ratchets arrived today. 3/8 flex head approx 8.5 inches long overall, 1/4 drive flex head at approx 6.5 inches, and a 1/4 fixed head at about 6.5 inches long. 90 tooth action. I like the shape of the Tekton comfort grip handle. I'm not really a fan of quick release ratchets but, the non quick release versions don't appear until the fall. I would like to see Tekton release a comfort grip 1/4 flex head ratchet that's 7-8 inches long. Nice chrome, crisp ratcheting action, great feel.
