Scott, the doctors had six or seven monitors in the operating room and an ovehead X-ray machine. I suspect one of the monitors was connected to the GJ. They did a great job and I'm beside myself happy to see nothing less than 60 beats per minute.
Bob - don't forget the extended warranty option. Saying a few words to the big guy upstairs ...

Gerry, I always forget the warranty. They mumbled something about the wires being 1,000,000 beats but the battery and its housing is only good for 5-15 years. Apparently it's a drive-through procedure.
You’ve always been able to do so many amazing things one handed I forget which arm your missing. So when nurse mentioned keeping left arm immobile is that the missing one. OMG you’re funny.
Best of luck and I’m sure just another good tool purchase that might extend your life another 20 years.

Drives, I feel better already, knowing the ticker isn't getting lazier. I'm going to behave for the six weeks but after that, watch out. I had some free time and mentioned your mom to my invisible friend. If there's any possibility she can recover a good bit of flex in the elbow, she might consider skipping the surgery. The orthopedic surgeon who treated my cracked elbow said surgery had a 50-50 chance of making it worse. I managed to break the spur that formed exactly one year later. It went from 75% flexion to 100% and became a pretty good weather predictor as a bonus.

Good news! Amazing how quick they can do something like that. I’ve waited longer for new tires to be put on. Listen to the doctor soon you’ll be back to out-working everyone again!
Dennis, the procedure has gone from a day-long surgery and multi-day recovery to an hour of cutting and fishing followed by a walk out the door. I arrived at the hospital at 11:00 AM, they wheeled me into the operating room around 1:00 PM and I was home at 4:30 PM. After I dressed myself the nurse took me by wheelchair to the second floor of the parking garage where Liane picked me up. She took about three minutes longer to get to the Valet parking station (she took the long way).
Great news Bob! Excited to see you able to stick around with us and continue to get more done in your garage with 1 hand and a 10 lb weight limit than most of us get done without those impairments!

Mac! My pacemaker is an Abbott Assurity MRI with Tendril STS leads (X2 for both sides of the heart). The user manual is tiny and doesn't mention anything about Turbo mode. The website proudly describes it as MRI ready and the doctor and staff confirmed I could use MIG and TIG welders as long as I didn't ground myself. I'm a happy camper!
