Wokspaces above 1200 squarefeet.
We went to an auction last night and found a few goodies for the party garage
And this table full of polishing cans
And an addition to my light bulb can collection
and this is what drew me to this auction. It was the only thing I wanted before I got there.
So much for no more projects this year lol

Breaks my heart to remember that my Dad probably had a dozen or more of those when he was in the bulk oil business. Don't remember if any had wheels though.

We have 3 Christmas parties scheduled starting on Dec. 3rd. That means that it is time to start decorating the party garage.
But before we can do much in there I needed to put all that new Stuff away. So today was the start of that.
I have the majority of this pile put out on display of course that meant playing a little tetris with different areas and other displays.
Most of this pile has been placed
Of that pile only the 3 signs and a couple of cardboard displays remain the be placed
The license plates and tire signs were hung on the new wall shelf along with the third light that Dan from Pasadena suggested.
The 3rd light shines well on the wagon and the first 2 planes
Next was this table of light bulbs and boxes
They went into the speed shop window

Don, that new wall looks amazing. I would think that getting a big load of items blended into
what you already have displayed would be challenging. Seems like it’s no problem for you though.

I've been playing tetris with all this stuff moving 3 things to fit one more in and moving this sign from here to there so the display cabinet will have enough wall space.
Just the fun of maintaining this place while feeding my habits

A bit of yard maintenance and a lot of decorating inside and out.
The first party is set for this coming Saturday. A catered affair for around 200 folks.
I managed to get all the new treasures put away or hung around the party garage. 2 Christmas trees decorated inside and 1 outside
We have 2 new displays set up from the last collection of treasures.
This big display case is now hung and full of different brand polish cloths, waxes and pastes
And Ann started collecting Hopalong Cassidy memorabilia and found this case to display it in
I told her it should go in the western town but she disagrees lol

This year we've decided to decorate the front yard as well as the back because the visitors for the parties will be driving in the front drive so lights went on the hedge and shrubs were a must
We haven't finished the back yard yet but the garage is well under way with the lights and decorations everywhere

Just waiting for the day when you let your beard grow and you put on a Santa suit. Always fun to check in and see how much one guy with a little help can get done to give me some motivation to get another item checked off my to do list.
Great to see the front all lit up especially since your new driveway pavers are installed (another big project you got done in about a week that might have taken most of us months to finish).
Best of luck getting ready for all the parties and guests in December.

Don, it’s almost like it takes a couple guys working full time to operate the BPG! 
Seriously though, I think the quantity and variety of display cases is just one of the many interesting things in your garage. Good luck with the upcoming party season.

Don, Everything looks great as usual.
With all the lights you have in such big spaces and the lighted signs and accessories I hope you have all the roofs covered in solar panels! We just installed them on our house - only the back of the roof and luckily ours is due South facing - because my girlfriend didn't like the idea of seeing them in front. The contractor was truly a PAIN IN THE 'NARDS but we finally got it all done.

I read the hassle you went through with yours I do use a big diesel generator for running the BPG during party times

Your builds and world is on such a different scale.
Here I had to walk away from a “cheap” Caprice because it would not fit down the side of my house into the back yard and to my small garage.

Well it's Friday afternoon and the first of 3 parties starts tomorrow night. I got the C.O.E. back together just in time!
Now I'm going out to move cars and set up tables in the big party garage for about 200 people. The night crew will be here around 7pm to decorate so I guess i'd best get with it.

Wow Don, All your displays and lighting look great! Your party guests are going to love it. That little No Spitting sign is a hoot. I could have used one like that years ago while working at the Ford Atlanta Assembly Plant. Those Georgia boys would spit tobacco juice everywhere. Sometimes it was a nuisance for sure and we were convinced it was the base method of lubricating all conveyor chains.
It took me all day yesterday to recoop from putting on the party on Saturday evening. The last guests didn't leave until after midnite
Today I didn't feel like working in my shop and I have some loose ends hanging around from projects that I have left 90% finished so I've decided to TRY to finish up some of them before the end of the year.
Today I went out to the big shed and worked on finishing the outside of the big doors. I got 1 done before Ann came out and begged me to go shopping with her. Well we came in the house and she got side tracked with a contractor (another story) so I'm here on the computer while I wait for her

We spent the entire morning chasing parts and metal, but after lunch we hit it hard.
While Brett worked with the metal beams, cutting and fitting so he can drop the sleeper down 3"
I worked on the front of the truck. I pulled the fenders and stripped the front of the motor off so we can build front mounts for the cab

The big party for the toy drive for Fort Erwin Army Base came off without a hitch but man what A LOT OF WORK
200+ visitors, a color guard from the base and a LOT of toy made the night very rewarding.
It started officially at 5PM but folks started showing up justpast 3 and I finally turned the generator off at 11pm that got most of the guests to leave but some still wanted to visit til I turned out the last lights at 1AM
I was so busy explaining the place to folks that I didn't get any pic's except for the color guard coming through the crowd and posting the colors
