@ ThePostman; I picked up one of those Chief die grinders recently. I've only used it a few times thus far, but so far it's worked great.

I’ll take pictures when I’m back at the shop tomorrow but snagged a 40-200in lb fixed head 1/4” torque wrench off the Cornwell truck on promo for 160ish, a Cornwell 3 jaw oil filter wrench and a lisle trim pad tool. I think all 3 items were a hair under $200

Been a while since I've posted here! Life and work has been insanely busy for me. Haven't purchased a huge amount of tools lately, but these have all been things I've picked up since the end of last year. Some of this is still from black friday.

PB Swiss NA ran a 50% off sale for their BF, so I picked up a few extra hammers and goodies.

I love their hammers. Will probably get some in between sizes in the future.

I love my PB drivers, and wanted to get this one for the kitchen drawer since it had bit storage built in.

i-kqQSQNn-L.jpg

Some Mac goodies. These were all bought on promo. I think the hammers were bogo and the RBRT sets were marked to something like a $100 each set. I wanted to add semi deep 1/4" drive impact sockets to my arsenal, and went with Mac.

i-rpLPbhC-L.jpg

Some Snap On goodies

6 point wrench set. Not something I needed anytime soon, but knew I wanted. Waited for the right deal and pulled the trigger. This is every size they offer.

I need another light like I need a hole in my head, but I liked this light for whatever reason at the time.

i-LLHG8n8-L.jpg

I have the large demo chisel, and thought it should have a companion in the drawer. Bought the massive oversized punch to go with it. lol

i-KQPQzzT-L.jpg

Pliers, because.

i-8fjvC79-L.jpg

You get to a point where you buy something to fill a gap in your set. This 16 oz hammer was one of those purchases

i-LJQCx5q-L.jpg

Not sure if I ever shared this here, but I made this hammer rack that fits in the snap on slots-n-dots panel. Saved a ton of drawer space with it.

i-pNnntqn-L.jpg

Another wish list set that finally went on promo..

i-DkFB6Xb-L.jpg

Snap On came with some black instinct handled items, and I had to have them. Sold off my red handled stuff to make some room for these guys.

I bought two sets of each of these when I heard about Malco plant ceasing production. Figured I should get these while they were available. Clamps are things you usually use multiple at a time, so wasn't hesitant to grab all the ones on the truck.

i-9qqBTCH-L.jpg

i-LmZq52P-L.jpg

Some lisle goodies

i-6cMsVnw-L.jpg

i-jJ5M7sc-L.jpg

i-CJ3hQR7-L.jpg

Saw this hose nozzle being used in a wash down room, and wanted to give it a try. The build quality is superb, and I love the silicone boot.

i-Lmr83TF-L.jpg

More vim mag rails

i-ZgJXMBX-L.jpg

Necked down wiha 3/16" driver. This is solely for glock front sights, and the only one I found that was thin walled enough to fit.

i-ZmQn33n-L.jpg

Treated myself to a Vyper chair. When you get over the sticker price and are assembling this, you'll see why it commands the price it does. I grabbed this during their BF sale, and would gladly pay full price. There is no way I could've built this for less. The casters, cnc machined pieces, top notch hardware, seat cushions, etc. are all excellent.

i-jstDHF9-L.jpg

If any of you have drywall work to do in the house, do yourself a favor and get the Mirka Leros sander. I went from a $115 amazon special to this thing, and it blew my mind. It deserves a whole thread to explain why it's worth every penny. If you're a mosaicist like me and do your own drywall reno work, it turns it into a dustless experience.

i-7wVsN3V-L.jpg

And lastly...in my quest for awesome 1/4 nut drivers, I decided to try these out. The set is made in Taiwan and excellent value for the ~$15 or so I paid for them. The form factor and laser engraving is what got me to buy these.

Wow! You just spent more than the GNP of most African countries. What a nice haul, I wouldn't mind having the 6-point combination wrenches, maybe someday.

Are the Snap-on 6pt combination wrenches the same length as the 12pt ones, or are they shorter?

They appear to be the same length.

Thank you.

I keep my 6pt Craftsman around, but I really never use them. The fact that they are between the lengths of short pattern wrenches and regular pattern combination wrenches appeals to me.

I was wondering if the Snap-on version was shorter. It would have been one more thing to hunt for.

I guess that if I ever upgrade the raised panel 6pt, it would be to 6pt Armstrong or something else shorter than regular combination wrenches.

Where did you get the Koken lug sockets from? My 22mm is pretty much clapped out, and I'm considering getting a set (what you got plus 22mm).

[EDIT - I see it on Amazon.jp via regular Amazon. Not bad pricing actually. For me, this competes with Milwaukee's new/upcoming in April lug impact sockets, which aren't much less $$]
Yep amazon.jp
I did see Milwaukee is releasing some as well I might pick some up later down the road but I really like the kokens

Finally got my order from Mister Worker, from Black Friday!
The Locking pliers are pretty nice

I'd been eyeing this Bauer cordless compressor in the open box section of harbor freight for a while. Every time I went back, it was still there but the price kept dropping. Finally I went in yesterday to use my 25% off on some pliers and it had been marked down to $61.98 and I just had to pull the trigger.

I got home and slapped one of my Dewalt 5ah packs in along with the adapter I use to run my Bauer hot glue gun and it (barely) fit! Turned it on and it pumped right up and held air. Turns out the reason it likely was returned is the QR fitting was bad and wouldn't hold air with a tool/hose plugged in. I replaced it with another from my box of air fittings and it works flawlessly. Quiet too.

Now that I know it works, I'm going to pick up another adapter so I can run two batteries. Kind of novel.

Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer your 6 point wrenches to be shorter? I would think the opposite to be true; more torque can be applied than a 12 point wrench with less risk of stripping a bolt.

Not who you asked, but 6 point wrenches need twice as much room to turn which is what makes having long pattern 12 points and standard length 6 points more useful in real-life situations. Longer 6 point wrenches are a lot more limited in where they can be used. The added leverage they provide isn't very helpful if you don't have room to rotate the fastener enough to get to the next step in a turning pattern or even manage to get on the fastener in the first place.

I just thought that it would be another length option.

I have ignition wrenches, stubby wrenches, short pattern wrenches, standard combination wrenches, long pattern wrenches, really long DBE’s… and a bunch of other options… and as I said my Craftsman 6pt are between short pattern and regular pattern combination wrenches.

If I find Snap-on 6pt wrenches at an estate/garage sale… clean… and for cheap… I will still buy them.

Hey Geo, could you post your options on this after some use? Thinking the HF pass/fail thread would be a good place.

I understand that, and these are standard length. If you were working in confined spaces and needed more mobility, why not just opt for short pattern 12 point wrenches? With the short pattern and less mechanical advantage, why bother with 6 point?
