IIRC the thread I'm in search of was a guy from California. He had a small 2 car garage with a lift built into the floor. I'm in search of this because it had unique sliding doors along the side of the garage which hid the shelves. the OP listed the name of the web site that he found th doors...

Depends on all requirements of the lift. I choose a 4 post to give me the option to stack cars. Most 4 post have an option to have jack plates to lift the car off of the lift when working on brakes and suspension. Although I've never had to pull an engine on my P-Cars I still do work...
