In for the 944 content! I had an 84 in high school and I miss it badly. Guards red too. I've been toying with the idea of getting another one but most are in terrible condition or $$$. Funny enough my timing belt bit the dust as well... Pistons were ok but needed a head job.
Dug up an old photo.
My wife’s family is from Ouray (grandpa was a miner) so we get to visit fairly often. We just got back from a trip with the kids that took us the long way round (coming from SLC) through Mesa Verde, up through Durango, Silverton, and over the million dollar highway into Ouray. Can confirm it is...
SMALL UPDATE: I meant to post update this a while ago but life/holidays got in the way. I installed the 2 husky cabinets over the new bench and I'm beyond pleased with the quality and finish at a fairly decent price. Quite a bit bigger than the new age equivalents and I think they look great...
Thank you! They're pretty basic but have worked out great so far. I actually brought that existing bench from my prior house and I have kept both "unattached" so that I have the option to do it again if we ever move down the road.
I'm usually terrible at getting a final prep in...
UPDATE: It's been a little while since my last update but I've actually made some decent progress and I'm excited about where it's heading.
After getting everything back in the garage I went to work organizing and building a second work bench that will be located opposite of the existing bench...
Thought I'd pop in and say hello. Your shed looks awesome! I thought about building mine myself but it would have probably taken me a year to finish it. The floor turned out great as well. We actually have a pretty similar setup (even matching air hose reels!) so I'm excited to how yours turns...
As I mentioned, the boss is wanting some upgrades throughout the house. She's completely fine with me working on the garage as long as I make some progress inside as well.
First up was a low budget sprucing up of our basement bathroom. This restroom doesn't get used that often and was the last...
Thank you! I still have a lot that I want to do but the finished walls have provided a lot more motivation so hopefully I can keep it moving forward. The boss is wanting some upgrades in the home so I'll have to fit those in as well.
That's not a bad idea! I might try something similar. I...
Small Update: I've been working on painting the work bench for the past few days along with painting a bathroom so it's taken a little long than intended, but here is the finished product. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Kind of hard to tell from the pictures but the post color is a...
Eventually yes. The left vehicle stall has some pitting that I don't want to deal with so the plan is for free-flow RaceDeck flooring since they're local. I sent in a design for a quote right after we moved in but other projects prevented me from pulling the trigger. If the slab was in better...
Thanks!! It's been a fun project so far and I've got some new plans in the works...
To keep things rolling I decided to paint my work bench to better coincide with the color scheme. Here are some teaser pics...
We also got our first snow of the season.
Had to pull all the vehicles out...
Just realized that the photos show up on my computer through chrome but not on my iphone so I'll re-upload them onto the site this evening.
EDIT - Just updated the photos
Which brings us to today. Coat of primer and 2 coats of paint on walls and ceiling. Might add a third coat to the drywall walls…
Test colors on the accent wall. I’ve decided on the bottom right. Looks darker in the photo.
