When I have time to get in the garage I will see if my parker screw from another vise fits.
Funny thing is this isn't my only parker with wrong screw / handle. If you look behind the collar the previous owner made a second collar as a spacer. I have another one with a good screw / handle but has...
Thanks GET. I don't believe this is the original main screw. It was drilled from underneath and held with a collar there. The nose looks just like my Morgan 150. Behind the nose is a bunch of washers to take up the space.
Great haul today. The iron Gods were watching over me like I was the big guy from Massachusetts. (Joestriper)
No. 11 American Scale 4" jaws 28 lbs.
No. 65 American Red Seal 5"
No. 3 Fisher anvil 27 lbs.
plus this awesome lathe stand
I had to drive to the big city of queens, but well worth it...
Hey guys, I picked up this Parker 373 swivel jaw (pin frozen). It has 5" smooth jaws. Looks like someone put a different main screw in it. Also instead of the horse shoe style collar they I guess drilled a hole underneath and fastened with a collar there. I will take it apart next week. Any idea...
Thanks FMC for the info. It has some battle scars but it will clean up nice.
va the anvil is in great shape. Now I need to make a proper stand and squeeze it in my garage.
Hello all, today was a good day. Reed 105 missing 1 swivel clamp (anyone have one for sale). And a 200# plus anvil no markings I can see yet. Does anyone know approximate years this model Reed was made?
Hey guys found this guy in my basement. I have no memory of where or when it came into my possession. Any info would be great I see no marking. Jaws open 1", when open it is 6 1/4" long.
My latest vise I believe is a Handy 3A, made in England I found one similar by looking at the spread sheet. I believe FMC made the spread sheet. Thanks. It is in the condition I found it in. 4 1/2" jaws (1 serrated 1 smooth). If I am incorrect please let me know.
Thanks John
