Another consideration for a two-post lift is shimming the posts. A good installer will be very careful about getting the posts vertical, and about the number of shims required to do so, and not to exceed a certain shim thickness. I would recommend mounting your lift posts directly to the concrete.

One reason I decided to try a penetrating sealer in my new shop is that I had tire-lift problems with the two-part-epoxy paint I used in my old shop. The problem was worse with R-compound race tires, but was there most times I let a vehicle sit.

I would use PVC conduit, especially if there are burrowing animals in your area. There is nothing wrong with direct-burial cable in a proper trench. Consider also the cost of wires in conduit compared with direct-bury cable.
