I absolutely DO NOT recommend Makita Haypoid gear. The main reason is that in the event of a broken pinion or worn gear you MUST replace the complete armature ($129.47) plus gear($80.51). I got same problem with my DeWalt 378G. Its pretty much alike in design with the Makita, running the same...
