Leveling my shop porch slab in the future (8'x25' area), is flowable fill a good idea? (I'll be enclosing it) ((yes, I tend to make my life harder..))

Now I don't have to do this, but its an epiphany that came to me this weekend. I think the porch is 1/8"-1/4" per foot (I'll check it tomorrow night), so somewhere between 1"-2" of fall. The porch slab is 4" thick, but the perimeter footer is overkill, 22x22 same as the shop. (psst, skip the...

    Shower in shop.

I'm planning one on my shop porch (roughed in shower drain and toilet flange), its a 8'x50' porch and I had always planned on enclosing that half of it. I too plan on a Liberty type lift station with a grinder pump to my septic tank. I plan on putting a 2" trap seal insert in my shower drain...

New shop behind house in central OK, need power... (its a long post, like many of mine are...)

I'll have to take pics of the panel tomorrow evening (if I get to it). Ground rod at the base of this meter, I have a ground rod for shop that will go in outside the building at the base of the new meter can as well as a multi strand ground wire attached to the foundation rebar coming up thru...

New shop behind house in central OK, need power... (its a long post, like many of mine are...)

Can the meter can go on my shop? I realize the POCO sets the standards. I don't have enough room on my house to preset the new meter base. On the shop will be a shorter run for them anyway. I can have the new base set with my new shop panel wired, new wire run underground to 200a disconnect on...

Yes, they will bury a new line. And I don't have to buy the 320a meter base, I go to the local supply house (Locke Supply) and they take down my address and give me the base (has the OG&E sticker on it). I will have to come up with a 200a disconnect to put under the new base so I don't have...

New shop behind house in central OK, need power... (its a long post, like many of mine are...)

So an OG&E guy came to my house yesterday and called me. He said he's putting in a work order to set a new pole in the utility easement behind my house (where there's 3 phase if I wanted it) with a new can and running 350 underground to my meter base and they will abandon the wire coming from in...

I did, but calling months ago while considering 3 phase, they wanted to know what equipment I'd put into the building. I understand that ultimately, they will make the decision. I'm just trying to prepare myself for when they come out.

I knew that too, just trying to prepare myself in case they want me to pay for the upgraded can. A second service would most likely come from another pole.

Yes. I know I need to come up with the list of loads I plan to have. I was sort of looking for a "rule of thumb" on how many services are typically on a can in most residential situations. I figure my shop as a "third house" on the system, though the load would probably be less.

The pole out front has a single phase 15kva transformer on it feeding the neighbor across the street overhead (no idea how many amp service he has, I think he had natural gas) as well as feeding my 200a panel underground, direct buried. His home is older built in 1983, probably 125a. My big...

I'm thinking of using Foundation Armor L3000 Lithium Silicate Densifier on my 40x50 shop floor thatbis now a week old....

I plan on working, but I want it to look nice for as long as I can. Something instilled by my father. My 2015 F150 has 221k and its not flawless, but most people (car people) think its at least 120k less. My dad used to work in the oilfield, they got new trucks every 200k (this was 20 years...

Thats what I'm hoping for Chilli, I'll get a couple more gallons and apply after the building is up and hope their equipment doesn't leak.

Oh, and I would also apply at first light so the surface is cooler.

So I tried to draw my saw cuts on this pic, hard to do on phone with sausage fingers, but this conveys the general picture. The slab is 48' wide and 50' deep. The saw cuts are 12' on the 48' and 10' on the 50'. The far left there is an 8'x50' porch, so that last cut on the left is 4' from the...
