Shelbylex, I have been following your Titanic jack thread. The only issue I can see (after about 1 minute of looking it over) is that it has what looks like a socket on the handle stud at bottom of the handle in the middle photo. I won't be able to really look it over for a few more weeks after...
My jack stands are the stamped steel kind but they are old-as in made in Los Angeles, U.S.A. or just plain USA. Not sure about the cast ones as I have seen them crumble under weight.

Going to pick this up from a coworker sometime soon. Well when work slows down. Apparently it is a 2 ton weaver floor jack. Jacks up and I had to leave it that way. So I will see if it is still that way when I pick it up. I will let you know what happens.

Cool thanks. I told him it might have been for armatures but he didn't remember his dad using it for that. Then we thought it was for valves. I will let him know.

I just got a Weaver WA-72 floor jack rated at 2 tons. I am going to use it to jack up my 88 F150 at some point to change shocks, brakes etc.
So it is rated at 2tons (4000lbs.) and the truck weighs in at around 5000 lbs. if I lift just the back half up to swap shocks I am only lift 2500 lbs...
Need to confirm this bench top lathe is for or is not for valve facing. And what all is missing as it may be going to scrap unless someone wants it.
Thanks,
Mike
Not sure if this will be in the correct area, if not please move.
I am looking at balancing the wheels on my Model A, to that end I was thinking of getting a bubble balancer due to space limitations. My question is: How good are they? I mean compared to a spin balancer type either on or off car...
While looking for something else, I stumbled on this. Not really set up for my car but hey for $5 and a little info about my A, I could not pass it up.
The last one is made by Walker but I assume you knew that. I have a Model A and use a scissor jack from the 60's. I have a few old jacks like this but don't use them due to their really narrow foot print.

Just picked this up because I thought the covers over the vials were really neat. That and it is in really good shape for being from the 40’s or older. Although looking at it I would swear it is bent but then I check and it is level a d straight. Must be my eyes. Well I got a few more things as...
