I'm not an expert so I just went to Autozone and picked up a quart of Fram Hydraulic Jack Oil. I'm sure there are other things that will work, are cheaper, etc. but I didn't want to over think it. Someone would have a hard time convincing me my choice was "wrong" though. Pat
