Finally finished drying in the shop. Hopefully tomorrow we will get shop roll up door installed. I also started building a roll around workbench. I also got almost all electrical supplies. Here are a couple pics.
Update: Well I got some work done on the shop today. Let me tell hanging sheathing by yourself *****. All I have left is one more wall for the 4x8 sheets then I have to go and do the tops. I did get the front dried in today . I have way overshot my estimated time I was wanting it done. Anyhow...
Update: Finally got tin up and side entry door on. Besides that it has been very slow . Seems like everyone of my off days it has been raining. Oh well. Just glad to have the roof on. I hope to get a bunch of work done this Tuesday.
Got some work done thanks to some buddies. Rebuilt front wall with a actual header. No more sag in it. Got all trusses up and gables. I also went and got my tin for my roof. I hope to start on roof and sides Sunday and Monday. I'm not going to put in a.window because that's just one more way...
Yea I'm gonna fix the header . I'm gonna go with a 2x12x16 or 20. It was fine on the ground then when we stood it up is when we saw the bow in it. Oh well no biggie. Thats why this a newb build . First time I have ever built anything. Trial and error. I'm located in Jacksonville ,Al.
Got front wall up. Got 3 trusses up. Not going as fast advising thought. This heat has been horrible. Temp today with index well over a 100*. Oh well. Here are some pics.
Well didn't get as much done on the build today as I wanted but it rained( first time in three weeks). Got three walls up and will hopefully get front wall up tomorrow and trusses too. I love it so far. Huge difference from what I had.
That is correct . I will build the new shop around the old cj. It's kinda hard to move it with no wheels, tires, axles,or suspension. Plenty of room to build around it.
