I need internet wireless router tech help.

Sounds like a problem with the cat5 wire, or the connections on the end of the wire. With a wire run that long, wire pin out and crimp technique need to be perfect. There's already a good bit of signal loss over that long of a run, so minor defects can kill it

What are you doing for compact step ladders / step stools?

I generally precariously perch on a swivel stool or paint bucket, occasionally falling off as I lean out way too far to reach something on a shelf.

Tool for trimming limbs waaaay up there?

Some folks are impossible to please. You may fall into that category. You ran off your $400 quote. Don't expect it to get any better than that. The fee is for more than just his time on site. You're paying for tools, risk, the time he spent talking to you about the job, insurance, and the...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Hah, long way from the t4r forum! Check out my new sticker from vinyldisorder.com If you haven't already considered it, I bought the side shelf for that box. It's very handy. The flip top takes away that potential work space that many boxes have.

What type of cable grommet for made up video cables to exterior?

Use 100% rvt silicone. It peels off pretty well if you need to swap cables later. Or use the pictured bushings sized for rg6, cut a slit all the way down the side, then snap it around the cable. Put the slit at the bottom. Fyi, the bushings are not really water proof without adding silicone...
