DAMM!! I used the wrong oil. Now what?

 I'll be hitting 100K in about a year at this rate in my '07 supercrew....I'm soooo not looking forward to these. I'm still not sure if I'm going to buy the Lisle tool in advance and tackle it myself or go to the dealer and bend over. One new "trend" I'm noticing on the truck discussion...

DAMM!! I used the wrong oil. Now what?

I'd say you're fine, but for peace of mind, it's less than $30 to just grab 7 quarts and a filter and re-change it, it it's bothering you. I've run Motorcraft 5W-20 and FL820S filter in my 2007 supercrew since it was new, changing it at 2500 miles, then 5,000 miles, then the recomended every 5K...

one car in a two car!

I have a small 2-car attatched (20X20) and only my wife parks in it. I have my ATV, snowblower, rolling toolboxes, fuel cans, spare 2nd set of tires for my car, a freezer, and a few other things taking up the rest of the space. We have a 1-yr old girl though, and I like the idea of my wife...

Let's See Your Snow Moving Equipment...

I've had snow up over the intake housing and it wasn't even bogging down. That's dry, fluffy stuff though. With heavy slush, it bogs down when it's a few inches. My previous snowblower was a "cheapie" Yard Machines from Home Depot, with the Tecumseh SnoKing 8HP engine. You can feel the...

Let's See Your Snow Moving Equipment...

Nothing special. Ariens 927 LE, (9HP, 27" wide) bought 2 winters ago. My only regret is that they were in the middle of transitioning to Briggs engines and I didn't want to wait, so I bought it with the Tecumseh. The last couple of years before the company was dissolved, Tecumseh engines...

    I need ideas/advice to start a plan

Can anyone give me any ballpark estimates on what to expect to spend per sq. ft. on a detatched garage for just the basic building (concrete, walls, roof trusses, roofing, running the basic electrical service, etc) Obviously the cost would fluctuate a lot depending upon the windows/doors I'd...

    I need ideas/advice to start a plan

Thanks guys. Yes KEH, that's a thought I had but didn't mention. Extending the driveway right past the existing garage to a detatched one of my choosing. The only issue with that is that it will just about double the amount of snowblowing I'd have to do. Not a huge issue though.

    I need ideas/advice to start a plan

My house was built in 2000 and I bought it in late 2002. It has an attatched 2-car garage, but it's only 20'X20', 2X4 construction. It works well as a one car (for the wife's Explorer) with a freezer, my ATV, snowblower in winter, tool box, etc. taking up most of the rest of the space...

Has your age finally got you stopped????

To put a slightly different perspective on this, my father is 58 and is currently sidelined while undergoing chemo for colon and liver cancer. No matter how willing his mind is, he's just too tired and can only expend energy in short bursts. It's very sad to me when I walk through his basement...

    New guy from Massachusetts

Hello. I just saw a link to this site on a car forum I'm on and joined up. I have a small 2-car attatched garage right now. It's only 20'X20'. I can't even park my F150 supercrew in it because with the bumper touching the back wall, the overhead door won't close...no matter because it...
