    Mac tools warranty on hammers?

Back from the dead on this one. Oddest thing. My MAC dead blow hammer that has been well used is now chunking apart. It is actually dangerous to use now because of flying chunks of plastic. It was fine last summer and I went to use it the other day and it just sort of exploded when I tried...

bat house..any body have em on your property?

Built one like 66HertzClone posted late last spring out of rough cut cedar. Put it on the back of the garage, facing mostly south, great summer sun until afternoon. Painted it dark brown to match the trim and help heat it up. Would guess bottom of the house is probably 12 feet off the ground...

Do you leave your cordless tool batteries in the charger?

I am in the process of building out a little basement wood shop and wood tool storage room. I wired all of the outlets in the room to a 20 amp wall switch (aka not the 98 cents one). When I leave the area for the night, one wall switch is lights and the other is all the outlets in the room...

    My alemite bench restoration

Doesn't go with the Texaco theme, but figured I would post it. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/atd/3386521958.html I bought some used Napa cabinets off of the seller a while back.

Has anybody else experienced complete disorganization from Sears in online orders?

Sears is simply a shell of the company they once were.

Any Pro Tips on Insulating Furnace Combustion Air Intake

I like the idea of the plywood insulated box instead of the uninsulated bucket. Adding that to the list and will see what happens. Between going to an insulated pipe. Getting it closer to the appliances that uses the air Sealing off a 1/4 of the basement with a wall and door that the hose...

Any Pro Tips on Insulating Furnace Combustion Air Intake

Will do some reading. I agree on the big fan of a sealed combustion system, but hard to justify replacing the furnace just for this now. I plan to do the furnace in a few years if I stay in the house.

Any Pro Tips on Insulating Furnace Combustion Air Intake

Finishing off about 1/4 of my basement into a utility room and small wood shop. Nothing fancy, just finishing the two outside walls, adding some lights and outlets so I have a semi sealed place to work on the odd wood project in the winter time. Currently my furnace combustion air intake is on...

    The Tool Roll

What I use, sort of a combo of the roll and the bag. I bought my first one a few jobs ago when I was a field tech for a telecom/network company. Worked slick and would allow me to sneak around post 9/11 security at some places. We had a few job site that would take 30 plus minutes to get...

    The Michigan Theater

Odd thing that keeps going through my head, for some reason. I want a pallet or two of bricks from the Packard plant for a patio project. It makes no sense and I realize driving to Detroit with truck and trailer to get bricks would not be cost effective. But it would be cool, to say my...
