    The 4" Keen Kutter I bought was $125 a few years ago. Auction is the place to find a sleeper unless its a tool auction. Good luck. Raised letter versions are worth more as the collector market goes.

    Not sure to what degree, but I would say yes taxpayers are. There is an incentive for these guys to sell cheap or why wouldn't they do so for the guys who are in to them for thousands of dollars in tools or been a customer for 10 plus years? Depending on your state...tax dollars for education...

    vintage cman ratchet with spinner handle

    Price is not out of line either; a few years ago these were fetching up and over $200. The blue handle usually draws more money. Nice piece...I have the blue and black and come in very handy on engine work and many other tasks.
