    Sandblast gun

G Got news for you bro, they all ****, they're supposed to. Yuk yuk yuk yuk I have a cheapo too. I picked up a new gun at a garage sale (at least I assumed it was new), it wasn't but it had the instructions which had a diagram on how to hook the feed hose up. There is an inner tube inside a...

Why are Makita Batteries so much more Expensive than Everybody Elses?

When I bought my 16" electric chainsaw I went with DeWalt because that's what all my electric tools were. I was kicking myself for not grabbing the cheaper (by $150) Makita because of the great price and with 2 batteries in the saw. Now it's looking like the saw was a real temptation to buy into...

    Higher quality valve stems?

Been driving over 50 years. I never used to replace valve stems when buying new tires. In the last 15 years things have changed and tires on several vehicles develop slow leaks. My Jeep has 3 leaky tires.

    Let's see your axes

This is an interesting discussion. I'm seeing 3 categories of axe aficionados here. 1 - Collectors who have a keen interest in all aspects of a tool 2 - Collectors who see tools as a financial investment 3 - End users who want to put the tool back to use I see #'s 1 + 2 as often being one and...

    Adjustable Transfer Punch?

Nice work PCustoms, they look like they work like adjustable reamers. Likely have better hardened tips than my cheap set.

    Walker Turner Radial Drill

They made a radial arm saw that has the same parts too. I can't find the photos but I have the EDM version of this set up (I'm pretty sure it must have been the 1st EDM). A lot of the DP parts are standard from regular drill presses. I've always wanted to convert mine to the drill press too so...

Epoxy for microwave glass plate heat and food safe exists?

I've collected dead micro waves for the transformers and kept a few of the glass plates. Luckily they all fit my working microwaves. You might have an odd ball microwave or I've just been lucky.

Replacement wheel for Ridgid #00 tubing cutter

I'd pay the $30 and get the ridgid wheel. It will be good steel and hardened properly etc. Also check Reed, as I recall their wheels are interchangable. I don't remember the name of my 6 and 8" cutters but the wheels were interchangable with Reed and Ridgid. Reed is still original family owned.

    Vintage Home and shop-made tools......

LOL good come back Lugs!, lol I had a redbone/ridgeback cross hunting dog for about 10 years. He did not give up easily on even the slightest scent either. It was just what I'd thought about when I saw your post.

Vintage wrench pouch/roll/whatever you want to call them

This is beautiful. Any idea what vintage it is? The wood handled screw driver and magneto wrench suggest older than it looks condition wise. I have to question the validity of the embroidered "Norton" though. Someone with the correct vintage MC would love that kit.

Need Info on I.D. of Old Tool Plane

I understand the wood handles are the most common parts to find broken. Look after yours.
