Wiring Enclosed Carport - Grounding Wires?

Thanks for the link! Yes, in looking at 6” of 12 gauge wire currently sticking out of the boxes I have been contemplating how ”fun” it will be to stuff all that in there. 🥴

Wiring Enclosed Carport - Grounding Wires?

Thank you all for the additional responses. I like the idea of looping the grounding screw in the box. @sparky 1971 the 2 gang box I’m using is from Lowe’s:

Wiring Enclosed Carport - Grounding Wires?

It appears my GFCI receptacle is self grounding while the “regular” one adjacent to it is not. The remaining boxes are single gang so I have planned on attaching a pigtail to the box grounding screw and to the receptacle, then twisting them together with the supply and outgoing grounds. My...

Wiring Enclosed Carport - Grounding Wires?

Thanks for the clarification guys. The receptacles attach to my covers or mud rings. The cover then attaches to the box via the two screws diagonally from each other. I’ll check my receptacles.

Wiring Enclosed Carport - Grounding Wires?

Regretfully I don’t know if the receptacles are self grounding. They were the cheap ones from Lowe’s. Unfortunately I am not familiar with a mud ring!

@paulsomlo Thank you! I’ll update when I have an opportunity to fool with it again. We’re in single digits currently which is uncommon in TN.

Old Floor Jack Identification & Recc’s On Repairing

I appreciate all of the info here. It’s stupid cold in TN right now and I don’t have a heated shop so I haven’t been able to tinker with the jack much. I did, however, get it up on a bench and look at how I’m going to remove the release valve u-joint, since it’s the only obvious leak at this...

Old Floor Jack Identification & Recc’s On Repairing

Thanks for the insight guys. Would Hydraulic Parts Supply have the necessary hardware (springs, balls, etc.) in addition to the seals?

Old Floor Jack Identification & Recc’s On Repairing

Thanks Shocker. In somewhat of an update, after tinkering with the jack today I noticed a spot on the floor below it. It appears as I was moving the handle up and down to depress the piston several times it may have forced some fluid from the u-joint that the handle rotates.
