Finally got my new HF jack, and it’s bad

I've never seen a quality jack "twist and distort". Ever. And no, you should not use one on a mountainside, or the middle of a river..

Finally got my new HF jack, and it’s bad

Re: Finally got my new HF jack, and it’s bad It's overused, but "you get what you pay for" sure fits here..HF is good for sandpaper and toy tools, that's about it. No amount of Chinese magic will ever change that..jeez, if you can't trust a jack out of the box, or while you put stands under...

Can you ever really get cigarette smoke out of a house??

If it was me, I'd just stand in the doorway with a freshly lit Camel, and make fun of all the liteweights around town..

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Bought a new .22 rifle a few days ago..a CZ 455 Varmint. I have never had a bolt action target rifle before..so today I made a bench rest to use with it.

Asphalt Millings ok....but not so great.

An honest driver will tell you. I sold hundreds of loads, with repeat customers. Look, 9 times out of ten, folks will try to screw you. It's not that they don't like you, they just like themself better. I always priced what I had to what it was worth. Ask around, don't take the first bid..ask...

This is true, not all millings are equal. There is prime , and there is not prime, the miller ran too deep, dug up half the dirt on the shoulder. Been there. I am not an recycler, just an owner-operator in the construction biz. What do you charge? What is your best price for that beautiful product?

A picture of the Speedway... a core sample showing how layers add up..starting with the first bricks 108 years ago...ending with a sand mix just put down. The entire history of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, in one core sample

Asphalt is rock. Rock that was mixed with an asphalt tar, sand,.. heated to 320 degrees, then spread and rolled before cooling off..makes a pretty smooth highway.. Asphalt can be made with chips( called surface), or a base layer with 3/4 stone (called binder). Asphalt millings are the top...

Is chainsaw the top 5 dangerous power tools?

Chainsaws are dangerous only because they have to be. There is no way to cover the blade, and still be a useful tool. You have to be able to cut from the top, bottom, and the plunge cut.. Ban low performance sawyers, not high performance tools

    asphalt grindings for driveway ??

No, it's basically a limestone product. Rock. with a bituminous coating.

    asphalt grindings for driveway ??

When you mill the top 2 inches off route 66, so the next 2 inch layer can go on without changing every bridge sign along the way, I'm not sure how that turns that material into some scary hazard waste..

    asphalt grindings for driveway ??

That is why I call it a "topping". Any good solid drive needs a good solid foundation..we use 2" -3" stone for a base here..

    asphalt grindings for driveway ??

That's a tough one. Any gravel is going to wash off a slope...eventually. I have a few of those slopes I battle with the back-hoe..I win for a while 'til Mother Nature shows who is boss..Less slope, carefully cut ditches, works for me so far..water is stupid, you have to show it where to go..if...
