    Cheap lift?

Well, I rank in the file of aging folks, have a lot of damage due to excessive mileage, wear, and tear on my body and working on my back and getting up and down with my knees is no longer realistic. Having a lift and working off a mechanic's stool as well as being able to lift for walk-under...

New pole barn/shop install and lot of rain issues with garage door

Kind of. The builder used a prefabricated, 29ga door trim. These most often come with post building kits (like ordered from Menards or a local supplier). With patience, they can be installed to look and work decent. However, those that field fabricate their trims nearly always do more...

They may be used a lot, but that does not mean it's because of the quality work they do. Forgive me, but the way both your walk door and overhead door are trimmed with the steel siding is not how better pole builders would do it.

Unfortunately, the concrete flatwork is just not your friend here. New pole barn/shop install and lot of rain issues with garage door

Looking at the pictures, your concrete flatwork was poorly done. There's a high-spot mid door making it hard to get a good seal from the door bulb at the ends, and well-finished flatwork pitches appropriately so as to not have water roll inward... There are replacement bulb seals that may be...

    Cheap lift?

It is not a scam, but low-quality, china-made 4-post. The warehouse is there, and it is not theirs. It's a receiving warehouse where many imported items are sold from. In those situations, they pay storage by floor footage so liquidations are not unusual for product taking up floor too long...
