It's actually the left side pedal that is left hand threaded...if either left or right pedal isn't installed tightly, the pedaling motion will cause them to unthread.
Thanks Dragfluid. In the '50's to 60's, there wasn't a drafting table around that didn't have one attached. It's a Dazor "Floating Arm". For me, light coming from behind me doesn't help much...this lets me shine it right on my work.
